so many possibilities to create armies, the development of the characters is fantastic... it would be really great if it was published on gog... I would much prefer a remaster ;)
This game holds a place in my heart. I had a lot of fun sitting in the basement playing this on SNES. It was an amazing game for its time and one I would love to see preserved. The varying units with there strengths and weaknesses requiring that you adjust units for different terrain, damage types, travel speed and other factors gave a great set of layers to a game that you didn't often see in the SNES days. With the popularity of the later games in the franchise, see Tactics Ogre: Reborn, I think this game would find an audience with both the nostalgia and new player alike.
The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earthThe players control the heroes or villians from the famous Lord of The Rings movies. With a hero characters similar to the Warcraft series you control both the armies and all the unique heroes. The game follows the movies very closely and even got scenes from the films appear in game. Not only does the game contain a giant campaign where you play through the journey of the ring as the good side, the game also features an evil campaign where as the players play as the evil forces of Middle Earth. With multiple diffrent races from all over Middle Earth, a giant spell tree to customize your game and a unique basebuilding layout the game was great for its time.Top Fantasy Warfare

Chaos LeagueChaos League is a fantasy-based sports management game developed by Cyanide Studios and published by Digital Jesters. It was released in Europe on 8 August 2004 and later in North America on 8 March 2005. The game is a spin on American football, the violence of the Medieval football with no rules and rugby-style of sports yet set in a fantasy world with teams being made up of fantasy races such as dwarves, elves, orcs and undead, along with the use of magic and other fictional elements during a "match". While not a direct video game adaption, Chaos League bears resemblance to Games Workshop's Blood Bowl tabletop board game, which is also about fantasy sports.
