  • What made it fun or challenging?
  • Why do you want this game on GOG?
On my Dreamcast, there were very few games I played as much as Unreal Tournament, Spawn: In the Demon's Hand, and Phantasy Star Online (especially this version). It was an excellent blend of fun and challenge, and had a gameplay loop I could get into. The current MMO overcomplicates with gratuitous monetization and far too many NPCs for shops and crafting. But there's good entertainment value in the simplicity of PSO ver. 2. While it probably wouldn't be multiplayer on GoG, I mostly played single-player anyways. While it'd be retro by today's standards, it definitely holds up.

Lunar: Sanposuru Gakuen
Lunar: Sanposuru GakuenThis is a side-story, set in the same world as the famous Lunar RPGs: Silver Star and Eternal Blue. The town of Burg is populated by harvesters, and you take control of two girls, Ellie and Lena. One day, they are sent to the island of Ien where they should study magic, and there begins their adventure. The game is a traditional Japanese-style RPG. You navigate your party through a top-down world, visiting towns and hostile areas. Enemy encounters are random, the battles are turn-based and are viewed from first-person perspective. Whilst not officially released in English, there is now a completed fan-translation of this game.

The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night
The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal NightThe Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night is a 3D action platformer which takes place right after the events at the end of The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning. Players control Spyro as he searches for his friend Cynder. Initially, he has lost all of his different breath powers from the first game, but he gradually recovers the ability to breathe fire, ice, earth and electricity. New to this game is the ability for Spyro to slow down time using his newly-learned 'Dragon Time' ability. While the game has some basic puzzles involving pressing switches, the main focus is still around fighting. Spryo's primary attack is his headbutt, but he can also use his assorted breaths to defeat foes provided that he has enough magic power. He also earns blue gems from defeating foes which will allow him to level up his powers.

Lost Odyssey
Lost OdysseyLost Odyssey is set in a world in which a "Magic-Industrial Revolution" is taking place. While magic energy existed in all living creatures beforehand, it suddenly became far more powerful thirty years before the beginning of the game. Because of this, it has affected society greatly, with devices called "Magic Engines" harnessing this power for lighting, automobiles, communication, and robots, among other uses. While previously only a select few could wield magic, many magicians gained the ability. However, such progress has also caused two nations to develop new and more powerful weapons of mass destruction. The kingdom of Gohtza and the Republic of Uhra (which recently converted from a monarchy). Uhra is building Grand Staff, a gigantic magic engine, while the heavily industrialized Gohtza actively pursues magic research of their own. A third nation, the Free Ocean State of Numara, remains isolated and neutral, though it is falling into disarray due to a general attempting to stage a coup d'etat. Uhra, at war with Khent, a nation of beastmen, sends its forces to the Highlands of Wohl for a decisive battle at the start of the game.

BattleTech: The Crescent Hawks' Revenge
BattleTech: The Crescent Hawks' RevengeBattleTech: The Crescent Hawks' Revenge is the sequel to BattleTech: The Crescent Hawk's Inception. It is the year 3029 during the Succession Wars; as the nineteen-year-old Mechwarrior Jason Youngblood of the Lyran Commonwealth (House Steiner), it is time to strike back at the treacherous forces of the Draconis Combine (House Kurita), who captured Jason's father in the original BattleTech, and whom he has sworn to rescue. Unlike its predecessor, the game inclines more towards RTS (real-time strategy) than role-playing gameplay style. The player will lead the forces of 31st Century BattleMechs (Warrior Robots) in a daring mission of rescue and revenge. The game consists of two parts - the storyline, which gives the player guidance and direction, and changes with the outcome of every decision made; and the scenarios, which are the arenas where the player watches his/her maneuvers unfold in real time. The game has digital speech and a technically advanced musical score.
