Quadnet's graphical gimmick remains impressive, giving an 70s futuristic tech vibe similar to the HUD in the Falcon's turrets in Star Wars. The gameplay is still fun today, the game is freeware, and it can run well on dosbox with a phone, or on retro handhelds. It is one of my favorite score attack games of all time, and the main reason I still use DOS emulation on occassion. It's a simple, fun, arcade shooter with vector graphics...a good old game that holds up well today.

Terror-Daktil 4D
Terror-Daktil 4DYou're in your plane flying over the jungles of South America. Suddenly the engines fail and the captain cannot land safely because there's a volcano ahead, so you crash You wake up the next day some distance from the crash and, in the distance, you see the Terror-Daktils gathering! Luckily, in the nearby valley there are three cannons. You drag one onto the plateau and shoot the Terror-Daktils as they attack Shoot waves of attacking beasts and keep shooting them. You must survive for six days and six nights, if you can do this a rescue plane will reach you. Only one cannon ball can be in flight at a time and they do fly like cannon balls. There's no cross hairs, and no straight line of flight, the cannon balls travel in an arc towards the flock that moves back and forth in the distance. Occasionally one will swoop towards you. If it can be shot it scores highly, however if it strikes the cannon then that's a life lost. Points are scored for each type of Daktil killed and night time kills score double.

Starship PegasusStarship Pegasus
Starship PegasusThis game is a clone of the arcade game Space Zap (Bally Midway, 1980). Up to 4 players can play this game, though not simultaneously (at least not on a TI system without an MBX device). It is unknown if Milton Bradley was planning on releasing a 4 way joystick adapter to allow for all 4 players to play at once, since there were rumors that MB was developing add-ons for the MBX system (such as a foodpad). It would not be surprising if this game was meant to take advantage of a certain expansion, since it is the only game from any company on the TI to allow 4 players to compete. In addition there are 4 directions that the ship can shoot in, making it possible for 4 players to all participate at the same time. However, this is all speculation, as playing it on a TI without an MBX system only allows for one player at a time to play. his game can be used with Milton Bradley's MBX System (an add-on for the TI-99/4A). The MBX allowed for the use of Voice Recognition, improved Speech Synthesis, a 360° Analog Joystick, and an Action-Input Keypad for video games designed for it.
