Resident Evil Outbreak File #2

Resident Evil Outbreak File #2 (2004)

by Capcom Production Studio 1, Capcom
Genres:Adventure, Puzzle, Shooter
Themes:Horror, Survival
Game modes:Single player, Multiplayer
Story:Resident Evil Outbreak File #2 is a survival-horror game released exclusively for the PlayStation 2 and a sequel to Resident Evil Outbreak, which was originally envisioned as a much larger game before being cut into multiple releases. The same eight characters from the first title return with similar abilities, and the game takes place once again in a zombie-run Raccoon City. The new game has several new scenarios and boasts new gameplay developments for the Resident Evil series. Loading times have been reduced and while the previous Outbreak was on-line enabled in the US, this game is the first on-line Resident Evil game in Europe. The locals featured in this game include both the familiar (The Raccoon Police Department) and the exotic (A mutated jungle at mid-day) ones. The game boasts a hefty amount of unlockable material such as artworks, notes, trivia, and character costumes. The game is backwards compatible with your save file from Resident Evil Outbreak, meaning that you can take your unlocked content to this new setting.Show more

In a nutshell Outbreak is a PS2 Online survival horror not only ahead of it's time full of hidden mechanics and neat game design, it's a unique experience that can't be found nowhere else these days, the kind of game it can only be made once, the story may fall short due to it's troubled development but even with some rough edges here and there the development team at Capcom Studio 1 managed to make it the the best RE Multiplayer game ever made, all thanks to Noritaka Funahashi the genius mind behind Outbreak, with a GOG release his masterpiece will be preserved through generations.

One of the best survival horror games of all time. Its only sin was being way ahead of its time by offering onling co-op in 2003!!! But even on solo this game is a journey. You have to become proficient at item management, healing, and surviving just to beat a scenario. I love that its a survival horror game that doesnt pull its punches. YOU need to get better to win. Its soulslike before there soulslike existed. Pleae add this game to gog.

This was the game that introduced me to the franchise. Ironically, I started with Outbreak #File2 instead of the first one, as it was a birthday gift, and well, from there I fell in love with the Outbreaks and the franchise. Outbreak 1 and 2 remain my favorites to this day, their atmosphere is wonderful. I have a lot of affection for the Outbreaks, it's a dream to see them being preserved and not stuck on the PlayStation 2 forever

I'm generally surprised of this PlayStation 2 exclusive game on here. but anyway, I prefer remake but I could take a PC Port of the original game. it was so ahead of its time, i don't know why they didn't waited for the PlayStation 3

one of the best resident evils in the entire series, id love to get it digitally again. many characters to play as that all come with special loadouts for each, while in the old tank control style resident evil gameplay, could even be coop as u chose yourself and your partners. unlockable outfits with points earned in game gave it lots of replayability as well

Chrono Cross
Chrono CrossCHRONO CROSS, the sequel to the SNES favorite CHRONO TRIGGER, is one of the most ambitious role-playing games ever made. There are over 40 playable characters, each with their back-story, special moves, abilities, and weapons. The story spans two discs and follows the story of Serge, a young man who is able to cross dimensions. Suddenly he is pulled between worlds, trying to figure out his own past at the same time. The graphics are bright and beautiful, utilizing the PlayStation's capabilities to the fullest. The polygonal character models are huge and detailed, and the pre-rendered backgrounds are immaculately detailed. The music is composed and arranged by Yasunori Mitsuda, and features very realistic-sounding synthesizers. The battle system revolves around Elements, which are used to grant magical powers, as well as to summon huge monsters. For anyone that wanted to see the story of CHRONO TRIGGER continue, this is your chance.
