It was the first Xbox Live Arcade-game that I ever played, back in the day of the Xbox 360. The soundtrack and the arts style of this game are outstanding and create such a rush of emotions of happiness and adrenaline, that it was indeed very hard to stop playing. It's a very authentic and faithful adoption of the comic with the same name and should be preserved for the generations to come.
I gave this a try after really enjoying the movie, and it was so good that it inspired me to go out and buy the comics, and I am not a comic gal; my entire collection consists of Scott Pilgrim, Bone, and number of random Mario and Far Side compilations. I had a blast solo and co-op, and it's like a faster River City Ransom with tighter design, more special moves, and a soundtrack so incredible that the composer was called back to make the music for the new animated series. It's a lot more approachable than most oldschool Brawlers, too; if you run out of lives, you can go right back to the last section you reached and continue from there. I'd love to see it here, because anywhere else you get it, Ubisoft tacks on their launcher, so you're running it through several launchers at the same time, which is just ridiculous.
Make it happen GOG! Owning this game would be a dream come true. The XBLA demo I played a lot. But I could hardly level up which made it a really difficult game to play. It's a culturally important piece of media that should be preserved.
I have the original back on the Xbox 360 and it's a fun licensed game based on the classic Scott Pilgrim graphic novel series, it's just a shame that the current Complete Edition on PC is not only DRM'd with DENUVO, but it's also locked to Ubisoft Connect regardless where you buy it on PC and more insultingly it has VM Protect, so the PC release is just actively punishing legitimate customers and hurts any long-term preservation of the game. If there's a licensed beat 'em up game that needs to be freed from the shackles of corporate anti-consumer restrictions, it's this one. Despite dropping the ball with its DLCs (especially Wallace as a playable character), it wears it's love for retro video games on its sleeves, the graphics are amazing, the soundtrack rocks, and it's a fun brawler that can be enjoyed solo or with a couple of buddies on the couch.

God of War: Ascension
God of War: AscensionGod of War: Ascension, the seventh instalment in the God of War series, acts as a prequel to the preceding games. The narrative revolves around Kratos, the protagonist from earlier instalments, who was once a loyal servant of the God of War, Ares. Tricked by Ares into unknowingly murdering his own family, Kratos breaks the blood oath binding him to Ares and abandons his former master. Subsequently, Kratos finds himself imprisoned and must navigate a path to freedom, severing the bond between him and Ares. The game retains the familiar hack-and-slash combat system of its predecessors, featuring Kratos wielding the Blades of Chaos. However, a new addition, the World Weapon system, allows Kratos to wield various weapons. Additionally, Kratos can now acquire up to four magical disciplines—Fires of Ares, Ice of Poseidon, Lightning of Zeus, and Soul of Hades—each bestowing unique abilities and imbuing his weapon with magic. For instance, the Ice of Poseidon enables underwater breathing. Rage, a recurring feature, undergoes modifications; it accumulates through attacks, and when the bar is full, it automatically unleashes until the player ceases attacking or sustains damage. Three new relics provide Kratos with the ability to manipulate time, create a "shadow" self, and dispel illusions crafted by his guardians. Notably, God of War: Ascension introduces online multiplayer to the series. Players, before engaging in multiplayer battles, align with one of four gods—Ares, Hades, Zeus, or Poseidon—each offering a distinct set of abilities. As players accumulate experience and level up their warriors, they unlock magical abilities, armour, weapons, relics, and other treasures. The game features four distinct multiplayer modes: Team Favor of the Gods, Match of Champions, Trial of the Gods, and Capture the Flag
