Sentinel Worlds was the first game that I really got emotionally involved with. Just being able to start hacking your ship in the opening battle, watching stats go up as you are going around. It was a fun game, wandering around with that little blue dot rotating around, getting slowly better. And then, completely out of the blue, they start throwing magic at you. My favorite was the power to make friends. "You're a friend, you're a friend, you're a friend!" Watching all those red dots turn into blue; which also let me move forward as they acted as a swarm of meat shields. That revelation of something new is something that has stuck with me ever since I got the game as a holiday gift back in 1988.

First game I ever purchased and loved it. Must have played it for over 100 hours, very simple very fun. Pick a world and mine it for money, fight other ships, what else do you want?

This game was one of the first party-based RPGS I played. Discussing it with my friend before school comparing notes, helping each other to the end....we felt very accomplished beating this game.

I remember playing this game when I was too young to read and understand the game, and it was still fun to go back to it over and over again. I would love to return to this childhood game and actually learn for the first time how to play.

Awesome game, innovation with different playscreens engagement and role play modes: top down, land transport, space travel, space battles, notice the influence touches of Terminator and Alien (with cool portraits of T-700 and Elen Ripley)

The game was developed by Square and published in Japan in 1999 and in both North America and, unlike the previous game, in PAL regions in 2000. It is the sequel to Parasite Eve and the second game in the series of the same name. Parasite Eve II is set several years after the events in the original game. The protagonist from the first game, Aya Brea, also features in this game as the playable character. She becomes involved with another outbreak of Mitochondrial creatures. Gameplay diverges from the previous game: battles take place in real time and the area of action is less restrictive. The approach is more typical of traditional survival horror games, although some role-playing elements are retained.
