It's a really good simulation game about building your own golf course to open to the public, and you can have competitions and tournaments with others or with NPCs. It's a short game if you play to beat it, but it can go on forever afterwards. You can keep creating and playing your own courses. Hopefully GOG sells it in the future, because I would like to play it on modern computers.

This is one of my all-time favorite games (a hidden gem that deserves so much love) and I have been waiting decades to play this game since its release. It is challenging and very chill. I love how you can create your own golfer (limited but fine enough), build your golf course, attract golfers to play your course whom will share their feedbacks. This will help drive you forward to creating the ultimate golf course. You can play your own course which is really fun. As your golf course grows, you will attract some of the best golfers and you can challenge them. The NPCs are have quirky personalities which fit the game so well. This game has so much charm and there is nothing like it out there. There are some constraints when building your course, but that is part of the beauty, among many things. I own the game, but i have not been able to play it since Windows Millennium/XP was a thing. Would be an amazing treat to get this game on a modern PC without downloading all kinds of emulators/files/sketchy .exe files and whatnot (just not my thing) to simply play a marvelous game. I was desperate and bought Golftopia. It is way too futuristic, surreal, and does not come close to what i Sid Meier's SimGolf. It is not a bad game, it is just not charming and fun like SimGolf.

I was about ten, when this got released. I had the demo from an old gaming magazines supplement disc. We didn't had internet connection at home back then, so I couldn't even look it up to check how the full game looked like. I remember in the demo only the temperate climate maps were available and you could only build 3 holes per map.

SimGolf is a fantastic golf game that deserves greater recognition. Not only can you build multiple courses and slowly evolve your clientele, but you're in control of your own golfer who progresses as well. With an iconic isometric artstyle that was so popular in the era, it looks fantastic as well. I'd love to see this game on GOG with proper support for modern machines.

I played this so much as a kid, designing your own courses, playing with your own player and building up your stats, eventually getting so big you host tournaments, it was a blast. My brother and I still shout the nonsense phrases in this game at each other like MASHWOO NO and HENA MONA MENA ROW and whatnot. The celebrity mansions with fake celebrity names and different types that would jam on guitar or sing or whatever it was they were famous for would help with the course, and things like "Aw man I hate hitting it into the water! Never Mind (nice landmark)". So many ridiculous things in this game and I want to see it brought to modern computers and playable.
I remember spending hundreds of hours playing this video game in the late 90s in my IBM Aptiva. It was truly amazing. Not only was the game dynamic, fast-paced and entertaining, but you could also build amazing golf courses that made your business grow and become famous internationally. One of the things I also enjoyed and laughed about a lot was when my golf course achieved significant fame and visitors, even to the point that famous Hollywood stars with names similar to Alec Baldwin, Arnold Schwarzenegger, or others would start visiting or living at the country club. It was really funny. Really. I miss this great game, because it´s simply, fun, addictive. I love it. We need it back!!!!!

Amazing mix of fun when building courses, and it's also a solid golf game to play. Tons of options and customizability. It's part golf sim, part golf course owner sim.

I have the physical copy of this game. I have had it for years. But it's impossible to play on current systems and I miss building and playing insane courses as easily as you could in this game. I also miss hearing all the Sims losing their minds in Simish whenever they couldn't play through. Having this available to play again would be a dream come true.

I remember one year when my parents gifted my brother and I each with a video game. At the time I was a really big fan of StarCraft and Dune 2000, so my parents gifted me a copy of Command & Conquer Red Alert 2. My brother was gifted a copy of Sid Meier's SimGolf, and I think that I ended up playing SimGolf significantly more than I ever played Red Alert 2. This game is a near flawless example of the Business Management / Tycoon Genre, it is full of character and personality, and has a pretty decent Golf game inside of it where you build your own courses.

I enjoyed that you had to play the courses that you made. What a fun dynamic to a golf game. Never finished it, but I would always go back and start a new game. Just fun and quirky game that aged well. I wish GOG would offer this game, or tell us if it's not possible to bring to the platform. I would pre-order the game to simply have it on a digital platform. If anyone at GOG reads this, I have the original CD that I would ship to you to help get the game made if that's what it would take. They have quite a few other Sid Meier games on the platform, let's get this other one added!
Those games also need your vote!

Wild Arms XF
Wild Arms XFWild Arms XF is a 2D turn-based tactical role-playing game, creating a gameplay experience somewhere between Dungeons & Dragons and chess. Players are given control of a small squad of characters (six or less) and placed on a grid-based map resembling a geographical location (a swamp, a town, a river), upon which they fight battles to progress through the game. As with most T/RPGs, positional advantage can be critical to victory, and players are encouraged to outmaneuver their enemies as well as outgun them. The game emphasizes positioning and maneuvering by the inclusion of "Formation Arts," which increase attack damage when an enemy is surrounded by your characters in a line, a triangle or a circle. Wild Arms XF is a member of the small subsection of T/RPGs whose battlefields are based around hexagonal tiles instead of squares. "Combination Arts" return from previous Wild ARMs titles, allowing characters to target an enemy in a waiting state and then deliver their attacks simultaneously with the next ally to attack their target. If the player succeeds in executing an uninterrupted series of commands, the damage inflicted upon enemies will increase significantly. On the other hand, the enemy gets the same advantage.
