The best lightsaber combat system for keyboard and mouse I have ever seen!
Since the tutorial system in Outcast was not as elaborate as in Jedi Academy I discovered some of the moves only on the 2nd or 3rd playthrough.
after finishing the games the first time I made keybindings for the cheat codes that give you the various lightsabers and styles so that I could save before EVERY lightsaber fight, reload and do the fight again with a different lightsaber (style in "Outcast" and set in "Jedi Academy"), I did the same for the "saberrealisticcombat" command.
These games still hold my highest count of willingly-just-for-the-fun-of-it-reloaded-and-replayed fights of all the games I have ever played! (Cyberpunk might come close when I eventually upgrade HDD to SDD for faster loading times)
I have played the old Dark Forces and the newer Force unleashed and Fallen Order to compare it to, I don't even count Lego star Wars' combat system :)
If "Star Wars: The Force Unleashed" had these games' combat system (instead of the "console'y" combo system) I would have played through it, instead of dropping the game after the 2nd or 3rd mission :(
