Tekken 4 was the pinnacle of the Tekken series. Fights felt real! Levels felt natural, not just endless fields of flat nothingness - obstacles and walls meant you'd have to pay attention to your surroundings. The technical moves to shove your opponent around and special deflect or counter moves made this fighting game more than just a brainless button masher. Character design was flashy and cool but not over the top. The soundtrack exuded early 2000s coolness with ambient, house, rock or the frantic jazz of the Shinjuku stage, giving each location it's unique feel but still jelling as a whole. The Tekken series will never come back to this style. This is why this game needs to be preserved!
