I would bring my 3DS to school in 2022 because I couldn't get a Switch. One day, one of my classmates' sister came up to me and asked if I had heard of The World Ends With You. I told her that I hadn't and asked her more about it. She then told me, I think it would be better if you played it, I'll ask my brother if we can let you borrow it. We became fast friends after that and I'll never forget the good times I had with the game. We are both friends now and we always talk about how The World Ends With You brought us closer as friends.

I was 15 when I played the game - and it resonated with me on so many levels. It really is a game for teenagers about teenagers. The importance of diversity, cooperation and change - those themes are the most important in this game but it's not limited to them alone. The impact of art, self-expression, dreams - this game has them all. The power this game has... If everything that's left of civilization is this game, it would be enough for historians to grasp what the beginning of the 2000s was. The Greatest of All Time, this game is.

My favorite game of all time, and an instant recommend for JRPG fans. An amazing soundtrack, an artstyle that aged like fine wine, and one of the most innovative fighting systems I've ever seen.

Possibly the best the DS and Switch has to offer. It has addictive game play and an amazing story that just sucks you in. This game helped me with my hatred towards strangers, it helped me appreciate life and view it in a whole new way, and since then, I've won my battle with crippling depression, and I finally have friends, as this game made me open up to people. I would play this game everywhere 2 years ago, and as the game went on, I found myself developing alongside Neku. By the time he changed, I changed too. This game is art, and deserves to be preserved and passed down generations, and it deserves much more recognitions, as it is criminally under appreciated.
Not only is it an amazing game but for me its much more, It IS the 2000s, a time capsule of the days gone by. The story is the most beautiful of any game I have EVER played, despite being so simple that anyone can play it. It tells the story of personal growth in one of the most natural ways. I played this through my toughest times and came out valuing my life and have been pushing limits sense, one day at a time. All inspired by these kids losing what is most important to them and fighting and failing at times but unduring, learning to trust others. And all of this isnt even mentioning the also best artstyle I have ever seen in any game, with music truly like no other. And the game is filled with the passion of devolepsrs who poured their soul into this game and its sequel. I say all of this to tell you why this series is so important to me and so many others. But there is only 2 games in this series, something this truly special deserves to live on. And I also want those who have played and even those who havent to imagine how great this game would be with some tweaks to allow you to have more features from the ds version and with mouse control, imagine going crazy with the mouse to dice up enemies. In conclusion this game is truly special and should continue.

One of the greatest JRPG games that I have ever played. It has unique gameplay and an outstanding ding storyline that is still modern and relevant in current times. The characters and the story of the game are my favourites, and some comedic moments.

i hold this game close to my heart, i remember reading about it in a nintendo magazine when i was little, tho i didn't get to play it until 2019. it was january and i had gone through some truly awful things the past few months, and i felt lost, i didn't know how to face everything that was happening. one day i went to a local antique store with a friend, and i chanced upon a copy of the ds version of this game, so i decided to buy it and try it out in my old 3ds. i'm not gonna say it's the greatest narrative piece of all time, but it is a great game with a great story, and it clicked for me in just the right way at the right moment. it gave me, idk, hope? after playing it all the way through things felt, lighter, like everthing i didn't know how to surmount wasn't so terrible. i tend to say TWEWY is an indie game made by a big studio, cause you can feel the creativity and passion behind every detail, it's a gorgeous thing and there's nothing quite like it.
Upon finishing the anime and really digging the plot, I ordered the Nintendo Switch version of TWEWY alongside an official Switch stylus and got into it recently. As soon as I booted the game and really got into it, I was thrilled with the experience and ended up being genuinely glad I got this game as part of my Nintendo Switch game collection for several reasons. First and foremost, the gameplay style for both single player and multiplayer is incredibly unique and fun in my opinion. Secondly, the music is insanely good as it gives off vibes of the early 2000s (which I adore as it was an incredibly solid time for the music industry). Thirdly, the pin (key item used for battles), accessory, clothing and food varieties are lovely and they gave me a huge incentive to collect and utilize them all due to how useful they are when combined effectively. Moreover, the artstyle of this game is incredible and it really hits home as we simply don't get games this stylized nowadays since 3D graphics are always valued a helluva lot more in the current videogame industry (which is a shame honestly as it'd be awesome to have more 2D stylized experiences like this one from AAA studios like Square Enix). Lastly, the story is amazing overall (gotta love the juicy character development Neku received from start-to-finish) and by far one of my all-time favorites amongst Square Enix's IPs. I genuinely hope this entry of the franchise gets a chance to shine on PC because I'm positive that it could end up being more successful there than it was on the Switch even if it means revamping the unique gameplay style that console version offered which is a sacrifice that I'm willing to make.
Those games also need your vote!
It Came from the Desert
It Came from the DesertIt Came From the Desert is an action-adventure game that derives its inspiration from the many cult-horror B-Movies of the 50's and 60's, the 1954 film Them in particular. The player plays the part of Dr. Greg Bradley, a geologist and the newest resident in town. Eager to satisfy his scientific mind, Bradley sets out to examine the crash-site of a mysterious meteor, but what he finds is not at all what he had been looking for. The game takes place all over Lizard Breath, and there are several different types of action / interaction. The adventure part of the game is very linear, guiding the player in a fairly set sequence of action sections. These include first-person bug shooting, scrolling overhead shooting, and a chase sequence.
