Unreal Tournament 2004

Unreal Tournament 2004 (2004)

by Epic Games, Atari, Inc., MacSoft Games
Genres:Shooter
Themes:Action, Science fiction
Game modes:Single player, Multiplayer
Story:Unreal Tournament 2004 is a multiplayer first person shooter that combines the kill-or-be-killed experience of gladiatorial combat with cutting-edge technology. Ten game modes - both team-based and "every man for himself" -- provide even the most hardcore gamer with palm-sweating challenges through unbelievably detailed indoor arenas and vast outdoor environments. As the ultimate techno-gladiator of the future, players will take their fates into their hands, battling against up to 32 other players online in action-packed, frag-filled arenas. Assault Mode - Assault mode returns! Redesigned for UT2004, this fan-favorite mode sees teams face-off to defend and attack fortified bases, from fast-moving trains, barreling across an arid alien desert to a Skaarj mother ship, poised to attack the human home world. Onslaught Mode - Onslaught mode takes team combat to the next level! Opposing teams are pitted against each other to capture and hold strategic points in order to attack and destroy the enemy power core. Taking place in massive outdoor environments, here is where vehicular combat comes into its own. Flying and driving machines take combatants to the frontline and gigantic mobile battle stations serve as a platform from which to launch devastating attacks. Vehicles - Rev-up and ride out in an array of land-, air-, and space-based vehicles that play critical roles in a successful combat strategy in Assault and Onslaught. With vehicles ranging from single man fighters to five man behemoths, Unreal Tournament 2004 provides players with plenty of choices when shopping for a mechanized implement of destruction. Levels - More than 95 maps will be available immediately, including more than 45 brand new maps for all existing game play modes as well as new modes of play. Vast outdoor environments, deep space combat areas and tightly packed indoor techno-arenas are all waiting for the latest entrants to the Tournament. Weapons - The entire smorgasbord of frag-dealing weaponry from Unreal Tournament 2003 returns for the experienced player to wield masterfully against new contestants. Those armaments are joined by three new implements of doom: the Mine layer, which disperses spider-like bombs that chase and harass any enemy that comes within range; the anti vehicle rocket launcher, or AVRiL, which deals out a payload of massive rockets tuned to seek and destroy enemy mechanized units; the Grenade Launcher, which launches timed explosives that will bounce on the ground and stick to enemies and enemy vehicles, only to be triggered by the weapons altfire command; and, the return of the notorious Sniper Rifle from the original Unreal tournament, completely redesigned and upgraded to make heads roll. New Characters - Unreal Tournament 2004 introduces 32 new characters on four new teams: The human Thunder Crash, lead by Tournament hero, Malcolm; the Robotic Corrupt, lead by an upgraded Xan Kriegor; the Iron Skull, a team of merciless Skaarj warriors; and the Hellions -- wreckless human mercenaries and pirates who delight in the thrill of the kill. New Technology - Unreal Tournament not only brings new content for hardcore fans to relish, it also delivers a tremendous technology update over its predecessor, delivering a faster, slicker, deeper experience than ever before.Show more

Unreal Tournament 2004 was everything UT 2003 was supposed to be. I don't think it's as good as the first one but it is still one of the best and most replayable games on the PC. Once again, this game's best feature is simulating multiplayer with bots in a single player environment. Please bring this one back.

UT2004 is a perfect time capsule of its era. On top of being a genuinely fun and varied Arena FPS, it has such a genuinely fantastic graphical style and soundtrack. While not as much of a vibe as UT99, it's still absolutely evergreen.

UT 2004 is the best! One of my greatest games when I was a young teenager. Now I still love this game and unfortunately this is unavailable on any game platform (DVD only). I still remember when I was playing it with my friend and talking about it all the time. Brutality, science fiction, tournament, awesome weapons and this narrator's sounds... "MONSTER KILL!" - that was all that a young boy wanted to do after a day in school :D This series must return, preferably in the form of an "Anthology" edition - come on GOG, you are our last hope for the life of this series!
The fact that Epic Games turned its back on what made it what it became is just depressing and a perfect exemple of the state of the 'AAA' videogame industry and entertainement culture in general. The name of it's engine is taken from the name of the series for crying out loud. Tim Sweeney was at the compagny when it released, how did we get here? I cannot buy it again, but if GoG could bring the Unreal series back, I would be stoked.

Easily the best Unreal Tournament game after the first game. Played its demo for 1000s of hours and then played the full game for another 1000s hours on Steam. Its also sadly the only UT game that I never found a physical copy of because it was always sold out here during its hay day. This game and UT99 will always live forever thanks to mods and community servers. I love playing it still especially with mods like Ballistic Weapons (which has mod dev run multi-player servers)

Jogo Simplesmente perfeito. divisor de aguas, as modalidades, a historia, tudo é magnifico, uma onra prima que não pode jamais cair no esquecimento. todos deveriam conhecer.
Do bring this one back from the hidden depts of the vault, I had so much fun playing this with some of my close friends and family members The challenging one against other family members or friends is why i care so much for this franchise. I really want this one to be preserved as well. It's one of the reasons why I'm asking for this one for it's return. GOG, Save the unreal tournament franchise If Possible. Thanks :)

The best of the unreal games, great single player, and the multiplayer, custom games, mods and the community were all brilliant. Met a few good friends on this game I'm still in contact with to this day. This game needs preserved.
This game was what got me into computer stuff, back then when a 256MB GPU was a luxury and DVDs didn't exist, thus the game was sold in physical stores in a box that came with 6 CDs! And I had to put CD after CD until the around 5GB game was installed, which was an enormous size for a game back then. It also had the best soundtrack I've ever heard in a shooter game, with totally memorable tracks that have been forever on my head because they are tied to how much I enjoyed every moment along with the lore that every character and map had.

I'll just say: Tokara Forest with Instagib and Lightning Guns mutators. Nothing beats this setup for a mad fast-pace combat! I held lan parties with this game, and with so many game modes, that was always one of the top games
Those games also need your vote!
Transformers: Mystery of Convoy
Transformers: Mystery of ConvoyThe game stars Autobot protagonist Ultra Magnus. The titular Mystery is the identity of Optimus Prime's (referred to in the title as "Convoy") killer, as the 1986 film did not see a Japanese release for another four years. Thus, Optimus Prime's death was not adequately explained to the Japanese audience; this game was intended to capitalize on that gap.

Van Helsing
Van HelsingVan Helsing is a third-person shooter for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, Game Boy Advance and Mobile phone, which is based on the 2004 action/horror film of the same name by Stephen Sommers. Starting off with the killing of Mr. Hyde in Paris, one must use the character of Van Helsing to hunt down Dracula in Transylvania. The character of Carl is completely missing from the video game but to reasonable accuracy, the characters of Anna Valerious, Velkan Valerious, Igor, Dracula and his three brides are portrayed as in the movie.

Mega Man ZX
Mega Man ZXThis game contains elements from the Mega Man X series and the Mega Man Zero series. The game introduces a new open-ended gameplay environment and the ability to select the protagonist's gender, a first in the series. The player's character, Vent or Aile, is on a 2-dimensional overlay map with sprites where he or she engages enemies to finish the mission. When Vent and Aile receive a Biometal, they are able to change form, gaining various abilities, such as the charge moves, or charging their weapon with an element of that Biometal; for example, Biometal H will charge the weapon with electricity. While in a special form, using the form-specific abilities use up weapon energy. When Vent and Aile receive the other half of the Biometal, they are able to perform a different special ability.

Cyberpunk: The Arasaka's Plot
Cyberpunk: The Arasaka's PlotCyberpunk: The Arasaka's Plot is a mobile game based on Mike Pondsmith's pen and paper RPG Cyberpunk. The game is a platformer similar to Flashback. The player can walk and run left and right, jump, crouch and climb ledges up and down. When entering combat the player uses a gun at long range or a melee attack at short range. Once enemies have been killed the player can take their armor and other items they might carry. Items that can be found include implants and new weapons. After taking damage, medic kits can be used to restore health. The player can hack various computer terminals he comes across. By doing so it's possible to get access to weapon and stat upgrades and to unlock doors. The player might also come across links to the game's website where more of its back story is revealed. Hacking involves playing a mini game that is similar to QIX. The game has some minor RPG elements although the player's stats increase automatically as he progresses through the game. There are also implants that can be used to give the player an advantage through special abilities.

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard
Resident Evil 7: BiohazardResident Evil 7: Biohazard is the first game of the Resident Evil series to switch from 3rd-person to fully 1st-person perspective. A complete refresh of gameplay systems simultaneously propels the survival horror experience to another level. It is as much horror as it is survival, boosting up scare elements and minimizing downright shooting action. The game allows use of Sony's PSVR Headset to play in VR mode.
