Looks can be deceiving. This game helped me through a very bland and repetitive job. Roguelike autoattacker that grows on you. Once you get past the initial stretch of unlocks this game becomes a pure dopamine factory. Difficult? Not really, but a damn fine way to waste an hour or two. DRM-free status would be great for this as a title to keep coming back to.
I discovered Vampire Survivors on iOS. It's a fun Rogue-like, does not feel repetitive since it's very challenging with many different powers & attacks. I will buy it on Steam since the game is not available on GOG... But each time I can, I try to support GOG.
Vampire Survivors is like if you took a chainsaw, slapped some holy water on it, and went to town on a whole mess of vampires and monsters no fancy controls or highfalutin’ story, just pure chaos. You start out easy, walkin' around with your simple little weapons, but before you know it, the screen’s packed with critters comin’ at you faster than a bull on a hot day. You keep leveling up, unlockin’ crazier stuff like axes, whips, and guns, and it’s like shootin' fish in a barrel… if the fish were zombies and you had a flamethrower. It’s wild, addictive, and best of all, you don’t need to know nothin' about video games to have a good time. If you want a game that’s pure fun with a side of ridiculous, Vampire Survivors is the real deal.
Drakengard 2Drakengard 2 is a direct sequel to the original Drakengard: the story revolves around Nowe, a boy raised by the dragon Legna, fighting against a tyrannical faction of Knights, encountering characters from the previous game and becoming entangled in the fate of the world.
Like the original, Drakengard 2 combines on-foot hack and slash with aerial combat stages and RPG game mechanics. The previous game's producer, writer and character designer returned to their respective roles. The game was designed as a more mainstream game in light of the previous game's dark aesthetic and story. The game sold 206,000 copies by the end of 2005. Western reviews praised the story, but gave mixed opinions about the graphics and widely criticized the gameplay.Action Fantasy
