We’re looking for a creative, high-energy video content specialist to develop and execute our video content strategy, catering to our community in particular. You will create engaging content that connects GOG with millions of gamers and brings GOG’s unique voice and values to life. You’ll work with a fast-moving team that plays to win and builds a passionate gaming community around retro and classic titles.

You will be part of the Marketing Team, working closely with our Community Specialist and Market-focused Video Content Specialist.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a tactical approach for video media grounded in GOG's mission, unique value proposition, and strategic goals – with a strong focus on community building and engagement. You’ll define the win, create winning moves, and figure out how we connect through video.
  • Create and manage a comprehensive video content plan that prioritizes community engagement and provides exclusive content for the diverse segments of the GOG Community.
  • Execute the content plan by scripting, capturing, editing, and publishing high-quality short and long-form videos at a rapid pace across relevant channels. In doing so, you'll own your growth, continuously improve, and deliver results you’re proud of.
  • Track performance, report results, and use data to optimize community engagement and content effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Community, Growth Marketing, Publishing, and BizDev Teams to gather insights, stay on-message, and deliver impactful, exclusive video content that strengthens user engagement. You’ll form strike teams, do your part, and won’t wait for an invitation to act.
  • Contribute proactively to a culture of shared learning, open feedback, and accountability. Whether it’s through testing bold ideas or refining your craft, you’ll be encouraged to step up or team up, share learnings, and be the change.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience in video content creation, including capturing real-life footage and editing.
  • Proficiency in using various video capturing and editing tools.
  • High speed, high impact, high energy attitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and communicate effectively with online communities.
  • Exceptional skills in motion design and animation.
  • Strong understanding of community management principles and practices.
  • Experience in creating content tailored for specific community segments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to gather and incorporate community feedback into content creation.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Passion for gaming and the retrogaming community.
