herbwest Please release the GOG Galaxy client for Linux, because there are many penguins out there who would prefer to buy games on your site, but don't do so, because of the convenience of the Steam client. Sorry for my bad english, but I'm no native speaker ;)
R1nceventFF we all support gog for being drm-free, the place of gog is on linux. windows is a golden jail, linux and gog will be a so beautifull wedding !
Quailin GOG for Linux would be the best.. I left Windwos on almost all systems behind me, but for my GOG games I still have one Windows System left... I hope this will change in the future ;-)
ninuola You guys need to start Linux seriously. I plan to install SteamOS in my next PC build and tired of the stress of trying to install GOG using Lutris. Please release the GOG client for Linux or my Steam library keeps increasing whilst GoG remains stagnant.
n4m3l3ss0n3 You are Good Old Games. Many older machines will no longer support Windows in the very near future. Linux is the way here.

kanecvr Linux has become much easier to use for the non-it pro. I've installed Linux Mint on a lot of my devices, and plan to ditch the bloated mess that is windows completely by the end of the year. I prefer to buy my games on GOG over all other distribution platforms, but Steam has a leg up on your platform when it comes to linux with their native client. A native gog client for Linux would be a great addition, and it would open up non-x86 platforms like the Raspberry Pi and ARM devices as well.

MemoryDreams I've stumbled upon this post, while searching if they released it on Linux at long last. Please release it, Linux is great for playing older games, and Windows is terrible. We are on the rise of linux gaming devices, it's a must at this point.

MikeaProjectYOS This has to be done in light of SteamOS being released to other platforms, including Desktops. It's becoming a very diverse ecosystem, and it would sadden me if GoG doesn't see the opportunity

xman1 To run a Linux version of the client means you would be restricted to Linux games. If you want to play all your games, run GoG in Wine.
Lutris has GoG Galaxy built in. Click the switch, and use Galaxy there.

xtorquex I refuse to buy anything on GOG as long as you don't have an official client for Linux. As a Linux user, I just don't feel welcome. In fact, GOG seems outright hostile. Valve supports Linux for a decade now.
However, I'm sympathic to a European solution and my offer to help porting the client still stands (full time Qt/QML developer with some PoCo experience).

xyz4512 With the release of the steam deck and other similar handhelds also coming out with SteamOS. I think it would be a very good idea to port the GoG client over linux when possible. I'd at least support Debian and Fedora which should cover most distro's.
