I've been a fan of Dragon Ball Z Fighters since the surprisingly innovative Super Butoden games on the SNES. I haven't played a ton of Dragon Ball games newer than that, but I got to try this out during one of Steam's free weekends, and it was everything I could possibly want in both a Fighter and a Dragon Ball game. It's pretty similar to something like Marvel vs. Capcom 2, but you've got EVERYONE, like in the Budokai Tenkaichi titles, but here, you've also got characters/forms from Dragon Ball Super. I wound up never picking up a copy, because Bandai-Namco won't remove Denuvo from it, regardless of its age; if there's a game that really interests me that I can't find DRM-free, I'll put up with Steam's DRM, but something that's going to brick my purchase if it can't call Big Brother every day is an absolute no-go, and I know GOG wouldn't put up with that.

Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe
Mortal Kombat vs. DC UniverseIn this arcade-style fighting game, both DC and Mortal Kombat universes are represented by 10 champions each, and one "boss" character, for a total of 22 fighters. Play is similar to the 2D Mortal Kombat games (with some 3D elements), focusing more on the special move aspect than the complex combos found in the previous three games (Deadly Alliance, Deception, Armageddon). As with any Mortal Kombat game, Fatalities are still present for the Kombatants and villains, though slightly toned down to meet the DC standards of heroes such as Superman and Batman keeping to their moral code and not killing their opponent. As a result, the DC heroes perform "Heroic Brutalities", which effectively put their opponent out of commission.

Dead or Alive
Dead or AliveDead or Alive is a fighting game and the first entry in Team Ninja's long-running Dead or Alive series. Its most defining features were its speed and countering system. Dead or Alive put an emphasis on speed, and relied more on simplistic commands and reaction time. Furthermore, its countering system was the first in the fighting genre to utilize different commands that corresponded to each type of attack. There are two kinds of holds, an Offensive Hold (OH) and a Defensive Hold (DH). The latter are executed by holding back or forward on the directional pad along with the guard input to either force away or counter-damage an opponent. The Playstation port of the game was later backported for arcade and titled Dead or Alive++.
