As a medieval lover who is horrible at fighting games, I picked this up and really got into it! Maybe even somewhat good at it. But then I lost interest when the game disappeared. The developer made a very odd choice to pull the game from GOG, yet still keep the original purchasers updated.
The developer explaination (on a steam forum post... lol... not on GOG anywhere) was explained as:
"almost nobody bought it there (ever, not just now), single digits per month, since the release. Everyone is here. It was an accounting liability. I will continue updating it for people who bought it there though.
And btw. the Steam version is also DRM-free."
I have screenshot proof of this laughable explanation. (on Steam search for "Hellish Quart Update 2024.02.14.0".) Not speaking on the ridiculous claim that anything on Steam is DRM free when Steam itself is DRM, removing sales of the game while retaining work for yourself to update the game is laughable. And of course, it lags behind the Steam version more and more as time goes on, because likely they will completely abandon those of us who bought the game.
