So many hours spent on my first personnal computer on this game. Trying to reach top speed and doing jumps and other meaningless challenges. With my trusty microsoft sidewinder gamepad. And later on : the first lan gameplay with my brother and some friends, scathered accross the house and screaming to be heard by others :D
Played this for hours on end when I was little around the turn of the new millennium on our family's chunky office PC; this game was the impetus that got me into PC gaming, and completely blew my mind away (it was different from anything on the Amiga 500 we had at the time). Really enjoyed cruising around both London and San Francisco causing havoc everywhere, and the various races and Crash Course modes were nice challenges as well. Seeing this available digitally on GOG would be a real treat, especially if the licensed vehicles remain intact.

I very much miss the simple chaos of this game. Drive around a city, plowing through traffic, messing with the police, and when the car breaks down, it gets instantly renewed. There was one point where I was trying to see if I could push every vehicle in the game to 100mph by using this one road on a steep slope. I managed to push the bus to 99mph, but try as I might, I couldn't break triple digits. Found out what the slogan "Ford Tough" meant by driving the pickup truck around. It wasn't fast, but it was absurdly resilient; it could power through the small trees between some of the roads. Had some nice voiced lines, like "Get thee to a nunnery! Er, I mean the finish line!" There were times when I deliberately waited for the bridge to raise so I could ramp it. Got some crazy air. More often than not, I ended up sleeping with the fishes, or having more tea with the vicar (referring to game over messages).
Hands down the best open world car game ever made. You heard me Forza Horizon! While I was a kid, I didn' t have a computer, but I had on older friend who introduced to me classics like this (back then the game wasn't yet old though). I spent so many hours playing this with him, just messing around San Fransisco. Some years later when I finally had my own computer, this was among the first games I played and it was still amazing. The fun was only enhanced when I found about the mods for the game and I was able to drive with cars like Lamborghini Countach (it had horrible steering but man was it fast!). While I never cared about the games races that much, I loved the open world. I just made up my own stories and reasons why I drove, it was just like playing with toys but more immersive. I even made up my own bus simulator, driving routes I designed myself. I want this game on GOG because I want to able to play this again almost more than any other old game. After over 20 years of gaming, I still sometimes think about Midtown Madness 2 and the fun I had with it. I know the experience will be different the next time, but no doubt I'll still enjoy it and feel like coming back to an old friend.

B.C. II: Grog's Revenge
B.C. II: Grog's RevengeThor has completed his Quest for Tires. Now he must discover the Meaning of Life. But it won't be easy. The Meaning of Life is hidden away; somewhere in a long maze of mountains. Each mountain is covered with clams and Thor needs to gather 100 clams in order to pay the tolls and advance through each mountain. The only way to Peter and the toll bridge is through the "real scary caves". There are lots of clams in the caves but watch out for stalagmites. Keep Thor's headlight sweeping back and forth for maximum clams. Out of the cave, watch out for Grog, who saves clams from Thor. Thor also has contend with rocks, potholes and pterodactyls (they'll eat his wheel) in his Quest for Clams and the Meaning of Life.

The player races off — despite Samantha's warnings — only to be ambushed by a mysterious driver in a rage that totals his Skyline. This War of Mine: Complete Edition
This War of Mine: Complete EditionIn This War Of Mine you do not play as an elite soldier, rather a group of civilians trying to survive in a besieged city; struggling with lack of food, medicine and constant danger from snipers and hostile scavengers. The game provides an experience of war seen from an entirely new angle. The pace of This War of Mine is imposed by the day and night cycle. During the day snipers outside stop you from leaving your refuge, so you need to focus on maintaining your hideout: crafting, trading and taking care of your survivors. At night, take one of your civilians on a mission to scavenge through a set of unique locations for items that will help you stay alive. Make life-and-death decisions driven by your conscience. Try to protect everybody from your shelter or sacrifice some of them for longer-term survival. During war, there are no good or bad decisions; there is only survival. The sooner you realize that, the better.
