Some NFS players don't like Porsche Unleashed beause it's more realistic and a Porsche tribute. And this is excactly what makes this game so good. I cannot even cout how often I have played this game. I even supports steering wheels. This game brought the fascination of sim racing to me and surely to many other players.

Porsche was the pinnacle of the series. Not too arcadey, not too realistic, just right. The career mode was challenging but rewarding at the same time. A more elegant car game from a more civilized age. I'm not holding my breath to ever seeing this game here, or ANY other NFS title for that matter, but one can dream.

I REALLY NEED THIS GAME! When I was 11 years old, I spent a whole day playing on my cousin's PC, it was a classic Windows XP. This game is simply wonderful, you could literally destroy the car in races, repair it, buy used cars, sell it, upgrade it. The maps, my god, the maps were beautiful, apart from going through all the classic eras of each Porsche. PLEASE BRING THIS GAME BACK!

It was the very first NFS I played when I was a kid and I love it since. And those beautiful, magical, early 00s aesthetics, they not just bringing back memories but I really think these early 3D games are looking gorgeus. Plus this game made me love Porsche cars in the first place. Every time I drive an old Porsche, like the ‘73 Carrera RS or the ‘95 GT2 in Forza Horizon, I think about NFS Porsche and smile… Damn, see how this game made me so disgustingly sentimental again? But no surprise, it has a special place in my heart for 25 years now.

Le meilleur des need for speed, il mériterait amplement un remaster HD, super ambiance, superbe bande son, même si il y peu d'aventure avec la police, le mode carrière et le réseau était excellent et les sensations de conduite sympa.
Best NFS game on classic era! Love driver licence and porsche tournaments! Still playing it. Favorite maps: Alps, Autoban etc. And this NFS has the best soundtracks!

Even-though only Porsche in the whole game as the title suggested, the soundtrack vibe was so memorable I still play it now and then. The game itself has a distinct handling as a real Porsche would. It has depth like no other NFS franchise would. I remember browsing the history and promotional leaflets and video ads from the manufacturer. The spare part customization is a blend of simulation and arcade. Not too complex overwhelming, still interesting for me. Definitive NFS classic.

This was an excellent NFS with an awesome test driver career mode. For years I dreamed about NFS: Ferrari, but it never happened. I had great time playing this, but I'm afraid it will feel dated today.

Need for Speed: High Stakes
Need for Speed: High StakesJust like its predecessors Need for Speed: High Stakes is an action racing game with a wide selection of exotic sports cars and many different types of tracks. The trademark Hot Pursuit mode game mode from the first game in the series is still present, where players race opponents on tracks filled with regular traffic and police cars that chase the racers. The classic pursuit mode is extended with two additional modes: Getaway and Time Trap. In Getaway the player needs to shake off the police in a set amount of time, or playing as the police trap a speeder before time runs out. In Time Trap an entire race needs to be completed before time runs out, or as the police all speeders need to be arrested. There are minor differences between the two platforms for this game mode, regarding spike strips, road blocks, and back-up. The latter for instance is unique to the PlayStation version. The Pursuit mode is available in multiplayer as well and players can take different sides or race together. It is the first game in the series to introduce a Career mode with a set of challenges. Beating these is rewarded with trophies for unlocks, and money to spend on new cars, repairs and upgrades. In the PlayStation version the Career mode is split up into two different sets of challenges: Tournament (required races) and Special Event (optional races). High Stakes in the title refers to races where players bet their cars. In the PC version these are a part of the Career mode when the player owns more than two cars. In the PlayStation version two players can insert their memory cards and race against each other. The winner immediately receives the opponent's car and it is deleted from the loser's memory card right away. In addition to the new game modes it is also the first game in the series to have a detailed physics models. Damage now affects both the appearance and the performance of the car for the first time.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2The Need for Speed series returns, this time reverting back to the 'chase' arcade experience instead of a racing simulation. Top speed racing is the name of the game, where you must outchase not just the opposing drivers, but the cops. Choose from a selection of today's (and yesterday's) top sports cars, including the Ferrari F50, Porsche 911 and a range from the likes of Ford, Corvette, BMW, Lotus, Mercedes, Aston Martin, the McLaren F1 and a lot more. The competitive race mode allows you to take on other drivers and beat them to the line. A selection of tracks allows you to not only dodge incoming traffic, but perform deadly jumps and stunts to receive points. These points, combined with the points recieved from your finishing position, can unlock new cars and tracks. The Hot Pursuit mode combines all the major elements of the competitive mode with the chance to out run the cops. They will throw everything at you to try and stop you, including running you off the road, setting up road blocks and unleashing an attack helicopter equiped with missiles. Three busts by the cops ends the race.

Freelancer
FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.

Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity
Sonic Riders: Zero GravitySonic Riders: Zero Gravity is a hoverboard racing video game developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega for the PlayStation 2 and Wii. It is the fifth racing game in the Sonic the Hedgehog series, and the second entry the Sonic Riders trilogy. A port for the Xbox 360 was cancelled during development, while a sequel, Sonic Free Riders, was released exclusively for that system in 2010. Gameplay in Zero Gravity is largely similar to its predecessor, with characters racing on different types of hovercraft called "Extreme Gear". In addition to the mechanics from the previous game, Zero Gravity adds a new gameplay system based around gravity that replaces the predecessor's "fuel" system. During the race, performing tricks and other actions will increase a character's Gravity Points, or GP. If players have accrued enough GP by the time they enter certain areas of the track, they will enter a Zero-Gravity Zone, where they can perform one of two maneuvers. A Gravity Dive will create a small black hole that points gravity forward down the track, giving the player a powerful free-fall boost that is further augmented by striking objects in the vicinity that the hole displaces, such as cars or signs. Alternatively, Gravity Control will alter the gravity of the course, allowing players to reach otherwise-inaccessible areas and shortcuts. Players can also use Gravity Drift to more easily maneuver around sharp corners.
