The intro to the game is really memorable, and sort of establishes a deep interest in the story. The turn based strategy is also very challenging, later in the game. A very traditional heroic Japanese RPG plot as well. Well worth your time if you enjoyed Final Fantasy Tactics or Front Mission etc.

This game is a perfect JRPG in 90s. It's like a fairy tale fantasy book, but as a game. All characters have a stories, game have a lot of secrets, so every new game can have a difference, even levelling here is fun. Its a shame that it do not have remasters or remakes.
The single greatest RPG ever put on to the Sega Genesis platform. This was a game ahead of it's time and a real joy to play. The opening, the characters, the story, what a great game that deserves to see the light of day once more.
To this day, I still play this game. Nearly everything bout it is superior to the first, and even the most frustrating parts (I"m looking at you, Dwarven Blacksmith!) are oddly endearing and fun for me. My cousin and I played this game to death. Each of us kept trying to find new things to surprise the other with and it ended with both of us bonding over a game we loved. It needs to be on GOG because it represents the best of the classic Shining games. It's a timeless RPG and it should be shared with everyone forever.
There are no words that can express what that game means, from my childhood. Everything in it is magical: the story, the graphics, the music, the gameplay, everything. I wish to all the kids, and especially to my own, to hold such a beautiful video games in their heart as they grow up. Like I do with Shining Force 2.
Those games also need your vote!

Castlevania: Circle of the Moon
Castlevania: Circle of the MoonCastlevania: Circle of the Moon is the first of the series to be based on the action/RPG structure of Castlevania:Symphony of the Night rather than the level-based action style of all previous Castlevania games. Dracula's castle is a single continuous building, and as Nathan discovers artifacts within it he gains new abilities that allow him to explore more of it. While Nathan can only use his Killer Whip as a weapon, he can find and equip different kinds of armor and accessories that change his stats. Unique to this entry in the series is the Dual Set-up System, where a combination of two cards will give Nathan unique magical abilities. For example, equipping a fire type card with a whip card will give the Killer Whip a fire attribute, while equipping it with a summon card will let Nathan summon a fire demon to attack onscreen enemies.
