Ideally it would be better to bring the original 2004 PC Release instead of the 2011. Not only because it has more content than the 2011 re-release, but also because the former is the version that the Mod Loader targets.

Played it first on the GameCube when I was 16. Bought it on Steam years later, but then I found out that there was another PC version released in 2004. I would love to see that version preserved here on GOG.

I got a powerful first memory of this game. I was over my cousin's house, he had Sonic Adventure 1 playing. At the time, this game blew my mind. I ended up getting an Sega Dreamcast for this game. I later got to play the GameCube port as well as Xbox 360 version. To clarify, this likely won't have the twelve Sonic Game Gear games. Thankfully for us Sonic fans there's Sonic Origins Plus to help with that. Sonic Adventure was such an unique game for it's time. You play as several characters with their own stories. Each one had their own game play style to keep things interesting. A truly fantastic sound track with amazing sound effects. Even the voice acting was surprisingly decent. You get a lot of mini games you can replay. You get to explore the maps to a degree. Some impressive boss fights for the franchise. You get even more from DLC that pulls from the updated GC port. Which added in Mission Mode. This is still one of the greatest Sonic games I ever played!!!

One of the best early 3D sonic games of all time. Amazing soundtrack, levels have enthralled great high-speed action, the story is cheesy and awesome simultaneously, and it is overall a great time. This game needs to be updated with modern hardware so that it doesn't get lost in the sands of time. It needs a complete remake, with modern cinematics, redubbing that matches what the characters are saying, and remaking the levels without any glitches.

The currently-available PC version of the game has bugs with the level collision, analog stick sensitivity, and game lighting... making this incredibly fun classic appear sloppier than it actually is! This game deserves an official glow-up so that fans old and new don't have to use mods to enjoy the original experience!

I actually played this after its sequel, but despite being simpler I was not disappointed. Like its sequel, its core strength was in having a variety of game modes: one per character, six in total. It also showed the same story from different viewpoints, in this case six different viewpoints (one per character) as opposed to its sequel's more streamlined two (hero and dark). Though it likewise had its 'true' ending unlocked by completing all the viewpoints. One of my favourite things about this game is that you get to play as some characters other than the obvious 'posterboy' trio of Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails, which in some cases are more interesting and more fun, both storywise and gameplaywise. E-102 Gamma remains one of my favourite Sonic characters, and his story remains one of my favourite storylines of any game, being a bittersweet exploration of themes like innocence, morality, selflessness, and self-sacrifice. I like the simplicity of Big's storyline, which consists entirely of an overgrown, slow-witted purple cat bumbling around in an attempt to rescue his best friend. I'm probably one of the few people who didn't dislike Big's fishing mode, but it helps that there's only a handful of levels, so it doesn't outstay its welcome. Amy's mode is also quite interesting. Firstly because it consists of trying to evade capture (and storywise actually failing to evade capture at one point), and secondly because Amy's hammer is an unusual thing to be able to use in a Sonic game. Her interactions with E-102 Gamma are definite highlights. Another thing that makes this game interesting is that it has an overworld that gradually opens up, holds various character powerups, and later has various challenges avaiable. As far as I'm aware, this was the first (3D) Sonic game to do that rather than merely having level-navigating menus or (worse) being just a constant stream of levels.
Those games also need your vote!
