A game that was first released during the "dream" era in videogame history is now being put in the gog dream list. Hope this is going to be a new dream era that will bring this very classic to shine again!!! A beautiful and very solid game from the beloved franchise The King of Fighters!
The King of Fighters 99 Evolution is the best version of KOF 99 originally released for the Neo Geo. The 3D scenarios were really cool and the improvements that came with this version only made the game even better. The PC version published by CYBERFRONT Corporation was a port of the Dreamcast version and was good (compared to the ports released by DotEmu which are just ROMs running on an emulator), but it had problems that the original Dreamcast version didn't have, like a music glitch in the middle of the game followed by a small crash when this happened. It would be great to see this port re-released by the GOG Preservation Program with the necessary fixes and support for higher resolutions.
At the brink of its first bankruptcy, SNK did this excellent polished version of KoF 99 which added more strikers and 3D backgrounds, a PC version came out after the initial Dreamcast release, but it was quite difficult to find due to a limited Japanese release. I first heard of this in fan forums, who just like me, wanted to check this out, it was nearly mythical, since many of us didn't get a DC back then, we were limited to PC. Regardless this would be amazing for GOG's preservation program, it's a really good fighting game, with good visuals, great music that got overshadowed due to SNK going bankrupt and the generational change which only saw this version being released on the Dreamcast as far the consoles of the time were concerned. I would always play a session whenever I'd see this in an arcade (With a modified dreamcast acting as an Arcade machine), it got all the good of the original KoF 99 and made it better and KoF 99 being the beginning of a new story arc and daring to try different things with the formula with the strikers and teams with 4 members instead of the traditional 3 was a bold strategy. Hope to eventually see it here.

Ultraman: Towards the Future
Ultraman: Towards the FutureIn the future, Earth must protect itself from alien invaders, a task handled by the Science Special Search Party. However, they are not alone in this endeavor. After crashing his ship on Earth while in pursuit of the evil alien Bemular, the super-being Ultraman is here to help whenever the attacking aliens prove too much for humanity alone to handle. Standing hundreds of feet tall with incredible strength and amazing abilities, he can only remain on Earth for a few minutes, and so must defeat his foes before his power drains completely. Based on the popular television show from 1967, Ultraman directly follows the story of its source material. Cast in the role of the titular Ultraman, the player must defeat many of the same monsters that appeared in the original series. Taking the appearance of a 1-on-1 fighting game, Ultraman can punch, kick, and grapple his opponent, as well as use a variety of various special moves that must be charged. However, in order to actually defeat his opponent, Ultraman must deplete their continually-recharging life bar, and at that moment hit with his most powerful special attack: the Specium Beam. As the game continues, different enemies may even find ways to avoid this most formidable attack, and Ultraman must adapt... Each stage has a time limit of only three minutes, and there are three lives and no continues.
