Ever since the infinity engine games got updated with Windows 8 support and started to use the new installer - I get massive screen tearing when playing them in full screen no matter what I do or the settings I have (I'm on windows 7).
I think it has something to do with the self imposed ddraw "fix" that wasn't there before - but when I uninstall it manually from the folders the games won't even start properly. So it's massive screen tearing or no play at all.
It does make me lament the fact that I didn't save the earlier versions of the games since they worked just perfect. I did find a previous GOG iteration of Planescape Torment on one of my external hard drives and there is no comparison between them at all - the new one tears all the time and the older has no such problems whatsoever.
Anyone know if anything can be done? I have of course tried turning vsync on and off on my GTX 660 Ti card but it makes no difference. And, like already said, the same goes for uninstalling, trying to bypass this ddraw "fix" that apparently didn't need to be fixed in my case.
