i now have a problem involving downloading it without gog.
i'm trying to install it, but it says to specify where the .BIN file is. okay. i have the bin file there. well if i so, then WHY THE FUCK DOES IN NOT SHOW UP UNDER DOWNLOADS WHEN I CLICK BROWSE?!?!?!?! is it because they need to be fully installed first? cause if the answer is no, then GOG HAS SWINDLED ME FOR THE LAST FUCKING TIME!!!

Basically Hickory already gave you all the information in the other thread, but I think there's still a little misunderstanding in how to install the game.

Download all three files to the same location:
setup_baldurs_gate2_2.0.0.12.exe
setup_baldurs_gate2_2.0.0.12-1.bin
setup_baldurs_gate2_2.0.0.12-2.bin
- Just click the links in your game shelf and make sure the GOG Downloader option is off (see screenshot)
- Don't open or run them if your browser asks what to do, but download them
- Don't rename any file

When all three downloads are finished, go to the download location and check if all three files are there. They should roughly have the size of 1 MB, 1.5 GB and 850 MB.
The extensions (.exe and .bin) might be invisible as that's Windows' default setting, so don't worry if they don't show. Do not rename the files and add the extensions.
Now double-click the installer executable file (setup_baldurs_gate2_2.0.0.12.exe) to start the installation.
Your system might ask you for Admin rights, which you have to grant. The installer shouldn't ask for the bin files now as they're in the same folder.

so i did figure that part out. except they're corrupted. and according to a few reviews, that's happening a lot. DAMMIT GOG! i need a refund! i'll spend it on something worthwhile, like a copy of throne of bhaal.
