KiNgBrAdLeY7: Well. I made the mistake to buy from Beamdog the Baldur's 1 enhanced, some time ago. I did not like it. I prefer the originals. I even abandoned my account and even forgot the login details. I hate 3d party programs and clients THAT much, after all. I wasn't planning on getting 2 enhanced, ever.
Yet, accidentally, right now, i saw both editions on GoG. And on a 50% discount. Couldn't resist buying them both at one go! For GoG! I might never play through them (at least completely), i might hate what they 've done with those games (there is nothing i hate more than nerfing and balancing a game, or undoing its exploits, glitches and loopholes), but when i saw my favorite distributor reel them in, i simply grabbed them, no questions asked.
GoG, shut up, take my money, sell well those games, and prove to EVERY steam faqer or beamdog mutt, that THIS version, the CLIENTLESS, DRM-FREE, is the best there could ever be!
Well, i might just consider playing them a little. I will import my final character from ToB original to 1 enhanced, and right after to 2 enhanced. At beamdog version, you could do that. Start in Candlekeep at 13/28 berserker mage with all spells (minus HLAs) learnt.
But what is trully best? Now that those 2 games are here, we can discuss about them here, and not on the gay ridden, offensive/abusive Baldur's Gate Forums! Yay!!!
i've tried it once, it's actually a quite horrible remake. i remember having to buy additional characters...
