I purchased and installed the game on Windows 7 and it worked just fine. Since I upgraded to 10 the game flickers constantly and the cursor is suddenly extremely slow. Is this a common problem? What do I need to do to fix it?

Best solution is to revert back to Windows7 because Windows 10 currently has a lot of compatibility issues.

It is like every 2nd subforum has exactly same question. Why do people upgrade to new OS as soon as it is released? People should know that they WILL have problems, why they get surprised when it happens exactly so?

Even if you will solve problem with this game, you won't be able to play some other. Better get ready to reinstall Win7 back.

Edit: sorry if I probably sounded a bit rude, but it gets irritating to see exactly same thread for almost each other game out there.

Ah, well, its the only game I own that I've run into issues with so far. After numerous fuck ups setting up this computer I have no desire to go through all the trouble of reversion. My save file isn't going any where, so I'll just wait for a fix, update, whatever. I have other games to play, books to read and things to do. The rudeness is forgiven. Thanks for your reply anyway.

It sounds like a direct draw problem
Try running ddrawfix & choose a different option ie if it is on force direct draw emulation, try it on use wineD3D Direct Draw library or visa versa.
Or try uninstalling it altogether..

ddrawfix picks it's default install option dependant on your operation system.
While it doesn't have a win 10 option, one of the options might work.

Uninstalling ddrawfix resolved the issue, just tested :)
