I'm playing the GOG version of BG2 with the BG2 fixpack and some parts of the BG2 tweaks pack installed, including Multi Strongholds. My character is a rogue, and I have Cernd in my party, but not Jaheira.

When I talk to Faldorn in the Druid Grove, I don't get any option to challenge her for control of the grove. This happens even if I have Cernd approach her before anyone else is in visual range.

Any ideas what's gone wrong? I'm guessing that one or more mods - likely the multi stronghold one - are interfering, but I'd like to narrow it down before I start trying to fix it.

You have a notepad file in your game folder called WeiDU... copy the text and Post it please.

You don't uninstall mods because they leave things behind and the widescreen mod MUST be the last... sorry m8 be a re-install and restart is what I would do to here.

Also be very wary about installing the 'More Interjections' component, because it fundamentally alters the way that certain dialogs are handled. It will actually break some other mods.

Thanks for the replies. Will it be possible to start from a saved game after re-install, or will I need to restart completely?

With the widescreen mod, I couldn't see a way to adjust the resolution without reinstalling. Is it possible to do so, for future reference?

If you have altered the resolution with the widescreen mod, you will need to start a new game, because all of the map and other altered graphics are stored in your save games.

I was afraid of that. :(

After *finally* getting Jaheira to level 14 druid (the gap from 13 - 14 - 15 is absurd), we went back to the grove to challenge for the leadership there. But the only option I get when talking to the guy is something like "we have nobody to challenge right now". Am I imagining this possibility at level 14 (certain I read it somewhere, but couldn't find it when searching), or is it only present if the PC is a Druid? I tried to initiate the talking with various characters, but always got the same one-option response that ends conversation.

It's a druid stronghold benefit, so only PC may challenge for the leadership.

You may have had a tweak that allows multiple strongholds. You wouldn't need a druid PC then.

Pretty sure I haven't had a mod component like that in the past as I like to have a "light" mod footprint, so I probably just remember wrong.
