Installed successfully and was looking forward to playing but when I try to actually play the game all I get is a blank screen. I've tried running it in compatibility mode for Windows 7 (which is what I'm running) and Windows XP SP3, I've checked the box to run as an administrator, disable the desktop composition, and ran the setup-ddrawfix. Nothing has worked.

I can't even escape out ctrl+alt+delete out of the black screen and I'm forced to manually reboot my laptop. This was my first purchase at GoG so it's a bit frustrating.

I'm on an Asus UL80VT laptop running Windows 7, 1.3 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, and a nVidia GeForce G210M graphics coprocessor. This should be plenty since I've had no issue running Dragon Age Origins on my laptop.

Any help, suggestions, etc would be really appreciated.

Slightly belated, but have you submitted a support ticket to GOG? If not, you should do so now: just click the 'support' button at the top of this page, and work through from there. I also assume you're playing vanilla?

The first thing to do would be to uninstall the game, and then redownload and reinstall it, in case something got corrupted somewhere along the line.

One other thing, and it's just a hunch, but when you get to the blank screen try the combination 'alt-enter'. That would, were it running correctly, switch it to windowed mode, and I've had trouble with the full screen mode occasionally, so it could be related.
