Hi there.
I have a problem with saving a game. If i save a game It crashed to desktop and it came a warning, that the game would not be saved. I read something in the internet but the only solution is to deactivate UAC in Windows. I have no Windows, I use the wine version. I cant even play the game. I am frustrated. I have to install the game manually with playonlinux because the linux installer crashed while search graphic libs from the free radeon driver. I need some help. I am a german native speaker.
Hi,

I don't recall any issue last time I played BG2 in wine, but it was with my old CD version, didn't try the GOG version, and it was like 2-3 years ago.

You can try to open a bug and/or ask on wine's appdb https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=30373&iTestingId=84480 in which the GOG version of BG2 is rated "platinum".

It would also be useful to get additional information about your setup : distro used, exact error you had with the Radeon driver when trying to use GOG's wine wrapper, Wine version you use when you do it manually, ...

Where did you extract the game files to?

What installer are you talking about? If you downloaded the tarball from GOG, you don't need to use any installer. Just extract the tarball to a directory, e.g. ~/games, then run the startup script included in the GOG distribution:
~/games/Baldurs Gate 2/start.sh
Or you can call the executable directly, but you may need to change your WINEPREFIX environment variable. A script like this in your home folder will do the trick:
#!/bin/bash
export WINEPREFIX="/home/patsche85/games/Baldurs Gate 2/prefix"
cd "$WINEPREFIX/drive_c/GOG Games/Baldur's Gate 2/"
wine bgmain.exe
