I'm doing a two player play through with a friend. We saved the game immediately out of candlekeep, after Gorion's death with Imoen in our party and yet when I load the game, we're back at the very beginning of the game, despite the save showing Imoen and us outside of candlekeep together. I made another save game in the same place, loaded from that and it still brought us back to the beginning.

Please help? I really want to play this game but I need to be able to save and load the game...

I have no great help. I haven't heard of this before. It's almost as if you're exporting your characters and importing them or starting a new game when you load. It makes no sense.

If I were you, I'd reinstall in a place outside of Program Files just in case. And maybe have someone else host. If you did install inside of Program Files, perhaps Windows is blocking something. It's good at doing that in Windows 7 (and maybe Vista).

I recommend running the game in administrator mode, and having your friend do the same. It could be that your computer is not letting the game fully modify the contents of the multiplayer save folder on your hard drive.

I'm having this exact problem. Both computers are running the program in administrator mode. I'll report back if I ever solve the problem.
