just started a BG 1+ 2 Vanilla replay. (only widescreen, balderdash and Unfinished business patches.. (yes back in the day i was one of the people that helped tracked down some of the bugs found in this patch)

But wow.. it's like i've gone back in time.. BG was one of my first modern RPG's.. before that, diablo was the closest thing.. or the old text adventures from the 80's. But this game just blew my mind. So nice to see it feels like it hasn't aged a day.

But i need some help.. Sadly i can't find my favorite sound pack. It used to be on fileplanet, but it seams like all the old links are broken, and i can't find it on my old drives.

the sound set was Of Gabriel, from Xena warrior princess. It had a couple of pics in the pack as well. I searched online for a few hours and could not find it. Does anyone know of this sound pack, and where it might be located? Or does anyone have a copy of this pack?

It was one of my two favs, There was also a great Buffy the vampire slayer pack around too, but that is gone as well. I thought file planet got archived, but it seams like it is gone now. So can anyone help me on my quest to recreate my character?

Have you tried using wayback machine? I'm not sure if they'll give you archived files but it's worth a shot I think. Also, pure class fighters rock.

FilePlanet prevents it with 'robots.txt'.

To the OP: it was archived at Chosen of Mystra (TeamBG), but the attachment is no longer valid. You may want to ask around the old BG forums.

No i have not tried that one.. Do you have a link? I am hoping i have it on my old comp that crapped out on me.. My vista machine that i'm sure i had the game installed with it.. but got some sorta file corruption, which i need to try to see if i can fix with the install disk.. so there is hope it might still be there.. I know the buffy one isn't, but the gabriel one might be..

It was a great sound file pack, especially if you are a huge xena fan. classic phrases like.. "have you heard there is a bounty on us? i think it's over 50 dinar" Or "of course" "death isn't the end, it's only the begining" Lots of other great ones.. a fun game is to watch the show and wait for the lines. :)

but i digress, I will try both suggestions though..

Another big Xena fan here :) I've had a look on all my old back up stuff and don't have this at all just a couple of portrait packs. If you do find this anywhere, can you make it available as I'd just love to play through with this. Thanks :)

Sure,, I could always put it up on drop box.. I will see if i can get my old comp up and running.. Just need to find my vista disk, if i can get it to boot with the disk in safe mode, really hoping it is on it. :)
