I understood the Pocket Plane as your own penthouse, so I imagine they actually chill after the brutal battles of SoA. I felt sorry for the guy trapped in the Planar Sphere, though.

I agree with javier0889. The Pocket Plane is a haven, so those absent from constant battle should not engender guilt.
