Wehn I looked earlier there were a handful of posts about the new Mac release and the fact it wasn't here yet.

Those ports are now gone, but last I checked that Mac release wasn't yet available.

So where did they go?

Maybe you saw them in the BG3 forum, which (if that is the game you are talking about) is the place you should go for BG3 related info.

Well despite owning the game I wasn't subbed to that sub forum. Only "Baldur's Gate Series". I didn't know there was a BG3 sub-forum.

they are all Mac users wondering why they can't find the release which was late from Larian but is out now

as for why it late, Larian posted some crp about the testers finding a bug i.e, doing their job and somehow that held everything up

Then I don't know what to tell you except that no such thing as what you describe ever existed in this Baldur's Gate series forum.
