I can't seem to access the console window. It's SUPPOSED to be CTRL + SPACEBAR. Only the version I have doesn't seem to have CTRL bound to any control. I can't find it in the keybinds ini file, or in the config app. Can someone PLEASE help me find it?

Did you open "baldur.ini" file in your game directory and added line: "Debug Mode=1" under [Program Options}? It should work after that.

It's not bound via configuration file, it's built-in. You need to enable cheat mode, as Sarisio above noted.

I have actually, which is why I'm so dumbfounded as to why it won't work (only came here after trying that). Is there something that might be preventing it from registering?

A common mistake some people make is to enter 'DebugMode=1' instead of 'Debug Mode=1'.

Double checked. It's two words. Still nothing. I'm thinking there's something wrong with the .ini file itself. Anything ideas what might cause that?

What version of BG II do you use? Do you have "Debug Mode=1" written in [Program Options] section?

Also if you use some weird OS like Vista, people advice to do following:
Go to where you have BGII installed, then look for compatibility files on the blue bar, click that then edit baldur.ini .

If you installed the game into the Program Files folder, then there's likely a second baldur.ini in AppData that's overwriting the one in the game folder. You should either reinstall the game outside Program Files, or delete everything in the Baldur's Gate AppData folder.

Thank you. Yeah, the appdata folder had a backup. adding the begub line on that version has fixed it.
