i played through the prolouge and the interlude and a few more missions.
i came to a point where the combat system of this game i totally breaking it for me.
like: i have 150 hitpoints, but a normal steet tug seems to ahve at least 1000. if i use best my 2x headshotmodifier handgun with a 2.5x stealth damage bonus silencer and critically headshot one from stealth, i do maybe 50% damga.
any other shooting is next to pointless, i would need 10 headshots to kill a minor tugg, and i cold as well spitting at them.
fighting them one by one with a sword sort of works becaus i then can keep them in a flinch lock as long as i have stamina, but most of the time, fighting it out will just kill me.
the only way for me to kill anything is sneaking up on them and grap them. now, this works well even TO well, but tbh im SICK TIRED of 1st person games semi open world rpg where sneaking stealthy crap being the only viable gameplay.
also, it just does not always work. right now i am supposed to kill some cyberpsycho mantis blade lad. the lowest i got her was like 96% with a stong attack and a combo, at witch poit she killed me because she will just one hit me (75% direct damage and the rest from a fire dot).
now: i do like a challanging game, but this is just stupid. at this point, with low tier enemies having 10x my health and higher damge, the whole combat is jsut pointless and could as well be not in the game at all.
i dont like this.
i mean, i still have fun because the storry telling and world are great. but i feel my interest in actually playgin the game slipping because this crazy imbalance.
i know that there are some perks i could spend points on to improve my damage. but the ting is, it seems i could boost damage of a gun type by like 20% doing this - which is just not attractive because even at double damage, weapons would probably still would not be viable.
pseudoedit: i tried the cyberpycho dudessa again, after i rememberd i did start the game on hard difficulty. mind you: hard. not ultra futile super imbossibro.
i tried her on normal. i *could* kill her because now she only hald killed me with one attack and i did about 10% damage with a strong attack and subsequent combo. it still took me about 10 hyposprays and at least 5 minutes of pummeling her.
so, this is slightly less unplayble, but certainly still not a very satisfying combat experience.
hum. so is there some occult mechanic i am missing that balances combat? is there maybe a typo somewhere governing hostile helath?
i feel this issue is really hurthing an otherwhise great game.
