Are these store specific?

I was going to buy a physical copy, but it looks like its for the windows store. can anyone confirm this?

or is there a physical copy that works with any other store?
I believe all physical copies will come with GOG code to download
Physical copies come with a code for GOG.

CDP's new PC games from retail usually have a GOG Code attached to them.

No, only codes and discs for the soundtrack.
Will the consoles be getting disc versions?

No, but if you really wanted to, you could make your own. That said, considering the size of the game, you would need a Blu-Ray drive for the task, and unless you pay extra for discs that go over the standard 25 GBs, I can see it taking up multiple discs. I like to do things like this myself, but I have very limited experience so I usually just create an autorun program on software designed to make game launchers. I don't know anything about creating boxes, so I keep my discs in a spine.

I dunno. What I'm saying is, CDPR won't provide boxed copies with legit discs (The Witcher 3 was 40 GB, 2077 is nearly double that at 70 Gigs and will only grow with future DLCs), but as a hobbyist(-ish. I mean, it's pretty surface level), I'm going to take it as a challenge of sorts.

I imagine your name answers the question many people are asking. Anyway:

1. There is no physical copy. There is only a box which contains an assortment of physical items, or "goodies", and a code which entitles the bearer to one (1) or more free downloads from GOG.com (Local internet charges may apply).

2. CDPR's games are DRM-free. They don't work with any stores, unless you for some reason wish to use the Galaxy client. I don't even know if games can be purchased through it as I've never used it. But otherwise the game simply installs and runs on your own computer, like a PC game should.

3. I'm curious as to why it looks like Cyberpunk 2077 is for the Windows Store? You should never purchase games from the Windows Store.

That's sad there won't be PC game discs.

Eh, i don't care too much about it as the game will very likely get a preload. There's also a good reason for not including discs. Only a decreasing minority of PC users have an optical drive, even less a BluRay drive, which would be necessary for this game.

All the more reason to encourage people to go and get them.

Exactly, lol. Saying that people not having optical drives is a good reason for not offering discs is putting the cart before the horse.

Not offering discs is a good reason for people not having optical drives. Specifically, the refusal of the industry to adopt Blu-ray for PC releases--while simultaneously pushing for online DRM--was the only reason that Blu-ray drives were never adopted to any significant degree. Beginning with the CD-ROM in the '90s, it was games that were responsible for the adoption of optical drives.
