I'm pretty new in gog.com and i don't know a lot about it. The thing is that a friend and me are gonna share the game between us.
So, the person who's not gonna buy it will be able to download actualitzations of the game? (or if there will be online play it?)

Thanks for the answers and sorry for my english. :)
Are you on CDPR's own forums asking if it is possible to pirate their game?

The correct answer is: no, both of you should buy your own copies. The devs are even now working 6 days a week, and probably a lot of overtime. If you need to do some extra work,a few more shifts at work, break a little sweat for the two of you to be able to afford the game, you should definitely do that. The devs are breaking their back to bring you this game. The least you could do is get the money to buy the game -- both of you.

Don't pirate this game.

What if he buys the game on a disc? And his friend borrows his disc when he is done with the game?

pi·rate
verb
use or reproduce (another's work) for profit without permission, usually in contravention of patent or copyright.

share
verb
to partake of, use, experience, occupy, or enjoy with others

Honestly, if they each contribute $30 and keep the game between the two. That's sharing, not pirating.

It's true that it's not really pirating, but it's still kinda shitty. You could share, but you shouldn't.

Fair enough. But the reality is, friends and family share Netflix accounts. Husbands and wives share gaming accounts. Friends and family has always shared all sorts of things from media to tangible items.

My personal opinion on 2 dear friends, not in the best situation financially, sharing somethings is not a big deal.

Oo, sorry I thought this whole page was made for this. I saw it weird that people was able to share the game with the DRM free.
Anyways, thanks for answering to this. You let me know how this really works and I will talk to my friend.

Family is allowed to share Netflix accounts. Why else would you be able to watch on 4 devices simultaneously? Between friends it is not allowed. What is technically possible is not always what you should be doing.

You can abuse the DRM-free system. Doesn't mean it's right. I much rather encourage people to do the right thing.

I hear you. However, I can confidently say that most companies will not care if 2 dear friends share something. I will also give examples of why friends sharing doesn't hurt a media company.

I bought and played world of warcraft in 2004. My friend laughed at me when I told him it costed $15 a month. He was never going buy it. A couple months later, I had to study for exams. I couldn't play, but I already paid for that month. So I let my friend play on my account for that month. About 2 months later, he purchased the game and subscribed to play for several months, plus 3 expansions. Did my act of sharing with my friend hurt Blizzard? I think not.

My friend also shared something with me, Mass Effect 1. I played and beat his copy of Mass Effect 1. I never purchased it. But I did purchase Mass Effect 2, 3, and Andromeda on release day. Did his act of sharing hurt BioWare? I think not.

Hence friends sharing is not a big deal, and can help companies sell more.

I got to be real honest with you. A company with stringent rules of "friends not allow to share!" is similar to any game company that says "you're not allowed to stream our games on Twitch or Youtube". That kind of attitude does not help sales.

Well if two people are rather poor and buy the game together for full price - for CDPR it will be the same as if each of them will buy a copy later on sale. It's not the same as giving away multiple copies. It's more of what people did before internet - playing one game on one console together.
Yeah, i second this. Personally, i would never share my game with another person, because that's against GOG's rules. But they already accept some loss of revenue when they release physical versions of the game on consoles. I mean, they have got to realize many people will buy their copy from a third party site, and thus indirectly make CDPR lose revenue. It's little different from buying a copy on GOG and sharing it with another person.

So formally, yes, that's against GOG's rules. but in reality i don't think they have anything against it, as long as you don't abuse it.
