I thought I'd post some views that I have on the state of CP2077...

I pre-ordered the game as soon as the E3 presentation ended, more or less as soon as the pre-order went live. I didn't mind the delays and had total faith in CDPR delivering a really good game. CP2077 was a game that gave me the kind of impression and excitement that only the Half Life games have done.

Having played the game I can't help but feel disappointed, minor bugs are expected but game breaking issues like quest progress/triggers are really unacceptable. I had to reload the Ripperdoc mission 3 or 4 times before I was able to progress. I do find it hard to believe that this kind of issue didn't appear during the play testing at CDPR. This is the kind of issue I'd expect the delays to fix or as a last resort, as is the fashion these days, the day one patch to fix. I really do support CDPR and I am sure these issues will be fixed in time but the game is clearly not ready and should have been delayed. Luckily I am able to use DLSS which helps mask a lot of the performance issues but the game is also in need of a lot of optimization.

Funnily enough this CP2077 release reminds me of the initial release of Half Life 2 with its numerous performance issues, all these years later I barely remember that, what I remember now is a game that I and many other gamers consider as one of the greatest ever made. I still have faith in CDPR and I am sure we will end up with an amazing game and experience but unfortunately it isn't there yet.

We would rightfully call out the likes of Ubisoft or EA if they released a game in this state and as much as I love the work that CDPR do they shouldn't be given a pass on these issues just because they are one of the few good guys left.

Please sort this out CDPR!
Reading through these forums is heartbreaking, I managed to get the golden goose of games and the only bugs have been some minor items levitating, and one hillarious bug where drove sidewapped the same stall over and over and abused people standing near it.

Performance has been great, without hiccup and the game looks stunning with RTX on.

Again, though, maybe I've just got lucky, or my system is configured differently or something, I don't know.

It's definitely quickly becoming my all time favourite game, the feels are leaving me raw, and the characters are outstanding.

Hope they can get it patched so everyone playing can get the same out of it as me.
