I've just done an incredibly stupid thing and bought a game for myself when I meant to buy as a gift. I haven't downloaded to game or any extras, would I be able to get a refund or exchange for a giftable key?

Ask the support team. They are the ones in charge for that.

Yes, support can exchange it to a gift key as long as you don't download anything.

Pretty much. Downloading is the same as opening the game at this point.

Though i'd think if you accidentally started downloading, but got a tiny fraction before stopping (or only got the exe file but not any of the bin's) they'd make an exception.
