Alec Holowka, developer of games such as Aquaria and Night in the Woods has passed away. Such a shame we'll never see a sequel to Aquaria. RIP.
This news comes after job loss and harrasement allegations.

That's what happens with public allegations. Now there won't be an investigation, there won't ever be any new art from him and he certainly can't grow out of his personality disorders further.
It's the worst possible outcome.

Here's the link to the original Tweet from his sister:

Zoe Quinn and her pathetic #MeToo movement.
Yes, outrage mobs and cancel culture has gotten out of hand.

I mean, can't that end in anything but allegations and hate?

It's a nice idea on paper but it's too easy to abuse it, as we've seen multiple times. Now it has obviously gone too far. I'm still wondering why it never went through the law. Why she had to do it on Twitter. Lock her up.
That's what happens when you drive someone into a corner.
Especially someone who is obviously unstable.
Since like him I was a massive abuse victim myself over two decades, I know how much work it is to not "switch sides" and get the mindset of a perpetrator out of a natural instinct for self-preservation, I think what people should take away from this is, that the only way to help all sides and prevent further sorrow is to take male victims seriously before they become perpetrators.
'nuff said.

That's her right. As detestable as I find her due to her history of outright lies - women can't be prevented from coming forward otherwise more would fear to come forward. I'm not saying there shouldn't be consequences if she is indeed discovered lying about this though.

My issue lies with cancel culture itself. He was completely removed from the gaming industry within hours of the accusations coming to light. Not one ounce of due process. That shouldn't have happened.

Whatever actually happened was for a court to decide, not Twitter mobs of any side.

I'm all for treating allegations as just that unless proof comes out, and if Quinn knew he was mentally unstable then I do question the point of it all. However I will say the mental illness is the culprit here, not women in general calling out bad behavior from people in positions of power.

Why go to the police and go through the hassle of a fair trial when you can put people on a pillory immediately no questions asked?

This is horrible in so many ways.
blame Zoe Quinn and her SJW followers
