I have come across this indie game, Ancient Cities. I haven't found any mention of it in the forums so I though I'd start this topic.
It's a city builder/simulator set in the Neolithic era, where you control a tribe of hunter-gatherers in search of a place to settle down. Planned features include economic management, citizens with individual atributes and personalities, enemy tribes, seasonal cycles or migrations. The trailer probably sums it up better:

I like the look of it, even if it's still alpha, but I absolutely love the setting - I have been wanting to play a game of this genre and this time period for a long time. And a DRM-free release is confirmed - they even have the GOG logo in one of the banners of their IndieGogo page. It's still in early develpment, though (estimated release date is late 2018). I will be keeping an eye on its development.
