I've asked gog before, as have several others, to invest some time and/or money in their download servers and/or investigating the reason for the (agonisingly) slow download of updates for *some* people.
I'm downloading Cyberpunk patch 1.1 right now, at...
... 0.3 MB sec
This is on a virgin media 500 mbps connection in the UK. Steam by comparison downloads updates and games at, on average, 58-62 MB per second.
Even Ubisoft and EA are doing a better job at this than GOG. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't *want* Steam to succeed and be the only place gamers buy games from, that is a bad thing all round.
BUT...
This is the last game I am getting from GOG. Sadly, calls for them to do something about this have been, and continue to be, ignored.
And that is not acceptable customer service.
