Barry_Woodward: Any new PC or Mac build has the Steamworks leaderboards getting in the way. Whether they include them with Galaxy integration or remove them altogether, it would necessitate separate GOG builds, which takes time and money an indie developer just might not have to spare.
budejovice: I would posit that if he doesn't have enough time to spare for GOG, he shouldn't seek to sell his games on GOG. Just my opinion.
After seeing developers do similar things so many times with their games on Desura and IndieGameStand (I'm looking at you, Panic Art Studios), I agree. If you can't manage maintaining a DRM-free build of your game, don't bother doing it at all. And better yet, don't start one, then abandon it and expect your customers to rebuy your game on Steam.
