Just curious. Having just pre-ordered the new Framework 12, I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with older Framework laptops (either 13 or 16) that they would like to share.

In particular, how is the trackpad? Is it easy to right or middle click when necessary, or to scroll? (Although, the Framework 12 I believe has a touch screen.)

What OS are you running on it? Does it work well?

(personal opinion, not as a GOG employee lol)

Framework 13 (AMD 7040) user here.
Overall I'm quite happy, build quality is pretty good (but I still don't feel comfortable just throwing it around like I did with thinkpad x230). Trackpad - usable+, with click being much better than the one on newer macbooks. Not as great as trackpoint + dedicated buttons, but one of the better "modern" trackpads.

I'm currently running Debian + Win11.
Worst thing currently is absolutely broken suspend, ranging from "not working at all" under debian sid (I probably just need to spend few hours to make it work...) to "kinda works, but has awful battery drain" on windows (but this is kinda expected from the "modern suspend", gimme back my S3...).

Other than that - pretty cool laptop, both OSes run really smoothly, with no [big] driver issues.

side note: there's a weird situation with UEFI updates, they are pretty buggy and are stuck in beta versions (see their forums).
