BeatriceElysia: I decide who's the winner, based on my opinion. I strongly dislike random.org sites, because I always feel like they are "adjusted", so nobody real could won (facebook, I look at you).
Huh? Nobody real could won? Just assign potential candidates a number between 1 and the total number of qualified entries and then have the site randomly pick a number in that range—how could this end up with no one "real" winning? In what way are they adjusted when they have no clue as to what you're using them for? Is this a concern about computational randomness not being true randomness? And what does it have to do with facebook? It seems I'm missing something here.
Please don't take this as a personal attack: I have no issues with people wanting to give to those they like the most/trust the most/find the most deserving. Nor do I take issue with those who turn it into some kind of competition. I just don't see why allowing the final decision to be made by a randomness algorithm is so bad—if you're worried about an alt, account or a troll or some other undesirable winning, you could just not allow them entry (and a number in the draw) to begin with.
Anyway, +1 for the giveaway, I hope Enebias will enjoy the game.
