Hi All,
I have seen this type of message in other areas of the forum and their solutions have never worked. GOG client tries to auto update on program launch and the progress bar gets to 100% and then it says it encountered an error and to go to website to DL. I have resigned myself to do that, but the 1.2.40 version is not available yet on about>galaxy/download so I am stuck.
However, I would like to get this fixed.
win 7 64 bit
Panda Anti virus
Zone alarm
Malwarebytes
Many win 7 remote settings/services turned off as well as NORD & iPredator VPN configuration settings (I don't use VPN when using GOG though) so my computer does have many boiler plate services and settings adjusted for privacy/protection etc.
So, A) what's the best way to publish some sort of error log for more specific feedback, and are any of you aware of any systems settings or services that are needed to successfully update the client?
I have zero upset with GOG as I suspect that my system configuration being "Fort Knox-ee" has probably shut off a setting/service that the updater needs.
Suggestions?
thanks all.
