It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Well, I got the email about the Black Friday Sale.

So what games ARE for sale? Cos all I see are a bunch of grey and white squares!
And after 2 months, there's STILL no link to my account at top of the page.

Here's a screenshot of it.

Seriously GOG, you need to fix this! Other sites can manage to have a functioning site, so why can't you?
And this broken mess doesn't encourage customers to want to spend money with you.
If you can't even manage a working site, how can we trust you with payment details?

The site is broken on IE 11 - sales haven't worked properly for over a year and the redesign has broken even more. If you're using Windows 10, I'd recommend using Microsoft Edge. Otherwise, unfortunately, you'll need to install a different browser.

I would prefer GoG to fix it though - it's annoying having to use a different browser for one single site.

I'm using Windows 7.

But the browser shouldn't matter. Like I said, other sites work fine with IE11, so why not GOG?

What do you expect, I am suprised if could even load bing. Utterly dreadful browser. Use anything rather than IE. Now I am not saying it will fix this website, as it is well broken, but your really not doing yourself any favours by sYing you have an issue and then saying your using IE..."doctor, doctor, my face keeps hurting when I smack it on the table!"

LOL... IE is really for masochists and Edge is not much better... But it's really poor design if a site doesn't support all modern browsers. We're not talking about IE8 here (used to be relevant only a short time age because of the many XP machines in China).

"I don't like it, so you shouldn't use it" won't help anyone.
Many, MANY of us like IE11. Internet Explorer is brilliant for... exploring the internet.

And as I keep saying, other sites manage to work fine, so why not GOG?

I like 8 Tracks. What's your point? :P
I've read a few posts about different browsers here and I was wondering...

I use Chrome and my Home Page is Google. I've read a lot of posters talking about spying and tracking etc, my question is, if I don't have registered accounts with either of them, do I have have anything to worry about. I don't mind "targeted" ads as I usually just ignore them, and I am usually "Incognito" in Chrome anyway.

Thoughts anyone?

BTW, no GOG site problems from here..Win7 Chrome.

You are the first person in years that I have seen to actually like IE in any way. There was a time when IE actually was the best thing available, but that was a very brief moment over 15 years ago.

You really should think using a better browser, something that is flexible and allows adblockers, extensions, and all that. I can't think of any feature that IE does better than other browsers. Opera + Firefox combo is what I use.

Having said that, something is very wrong with GOG's design if it doesn't work with the latest IE version.

It has nothing to do with with me saying I don't like it and you should not use because I say. It's been proven time and time again to be a terrible browser in terms of compatability, speed, usability etc. Please keep using it, but don't expect any sympathy when (as it is when) it will go wrong. I.E. is simply the worst browser fact. Do a Google for it, IE always features on the worst browsers list and never the best, it is even discontinued by M$.

True, I am not saying that the site is not without fault here. The website is a mess, has been for a long time, from the broken forum, through cookies and regional pricing debacle (I.e. It sets options based on location), into broken sales and dodgy website design. But they will not fix it.
What I am saying is equivalent of:
The roads are full of potholes, this doesn't mean driving a skoda is going to help.

No, it's the worst browser. I don't know anybody who uses this shitty browser.

Yes, be quite careful with chrome. But this goes with almost anything which has internet connection now. chrome also doesn't have the delete everything on exit which is annoying. Firefox isn't much better, it's my main browser but not particularly happy about things like the drm component. Chrome, just by association with google is obviously part of their mass data capture, and is only second on my browser list.
Unfortunately I don't have a suggestion for a good, non intrusive, compatible browser, perhaps those days are gone.
