I know the game doesn't officially support controllers. But I made my own setup with Antimicro. On the original game it works great.

The left analog stick is for movement. On the new version, using the analog stick to move causes me to spin incredibly fast, and I can't figure out why. Setting movement to the D-pad works normally, but putting turning left and right on the left analog stick has me spinning in circles 3 or 4 times at the lightest brush to the left or right. It's weird, because the game should just be seeing a standard left arrow input (or A, tried with each) when I push the stick past the dead zone to the left. And as far as I can tell with Keyboard tester, this is exactly the input being fed from the controller. But in this game, my character turns at an impossible speed several times when I push the joystick left or right.

I've tried using the keyboard, and I cannot replicate the spinning effect with any input device that isn't my controller analog stick. Without Antimicro enabled, my controller does nothing. So I'm wondering if there is a hidden input being accessed by this wrapper or something that only happens when turn left and turn right are controlled by the left analog stick of the controller.

If anyone has any information or input, I'd love to hear it.
So I also bound the movement keys to the Right Analog Joystick, and the mouse look to the left joystick. Similar things happen, the camera goes all wonky when I look left or right (using the left analog stick) but when I use the right one everything functions as normal.

I believe they started to include controller support with this and there is some kind of hook happening only when I use a wrapper that is causing extremely high acceleration when using the left analog stick to look or turn left/right. I hope there's a hotfix for this coming soon because it's killing me right now. I'll go back to the original with the poor resolution support as long as I can play the game.
So another note is that the D-Pad Navigates menus, even when I have no special keys set on it. So this definitely has some half-assed baked-in controller support that was abandoned in place, and is messing with Antimicro when I'm using it to assign functions to the left analog stick. Weird. Further, I hope they remove this or implement controller support fully, one or the other so we can use a controller if we so choose. The half-way started but not finished controller support is hindering my enjoyability.
