I just got the witcher 3 bundle from buying a gtx 970 and I've never used GOG before, if i redeem on my laptop, can I then have Witcher 3 on my other pc as well?

The games are DRM Free. You can back up the installer (or download it again) and use it on another computer.

All of the games sold here on GOG are 100% DRM-free, which means you get to download the installers and create backup copies of them, if you so choose. And, yes, obviously, you can indeed install your GOG games on any machine you own.

GOG doesn't forbid you to install the games on other people's computers, as well, but it's common policy -- and decency -- to treat GOG installers and games like physical titles: you borrow it to someone, you erase it from your PC or at least refrain from playing it as long as other people are playing your version. Then again, this all depends on your own moral compass and on how you feel about the issue.

Bottom line is, yes, you're more than welcome to install any GOG purchased game on any machine you own.

Of course, if all else fails, Support's very good, and most of the community here is pretty nice as well.

I just redeemed my Witcher 3 code that came with my new Titan and I see it in my library, but the website is acting like I still don't have it. I can put it in the shopping cart and check out, and it's not saying gift code is my only option. Weird right?

You certainly can, as others have mentioned in this thread GOG allows you to download offline installers for all of your games which can then be installed on any computers that belong to you, that is what makes DRM Free games so great. :)

Totally yes! You can install as many times as you want, to as many computers you want if they are yours and if you're the one playing it - that's the DRM-Free way of things and that's why we love it so much!

Why use GOG over the likes of customer-hating services like Steam?

Because they sell DRM-free titles. Instead of Valve telling you when, where and how you play, and if you're unable to communicate with Valve, basically you're screwed and unable to play your games, GOG lets you download the game installers, and then leaves the games up to your choices of when, where and how you play. You can then shut off the internet and be unable to communicate with GOG and still be able to play your games from GOG and even install them. It is for this reason that I'm here.

This is a common problem with the codes that came with graphic cards, it's because that version of Witcher 3 has another code name in the system than the one you buy in-store. They're working on a fix on this I belive.

It applies to codes from Kickstarter as well but KS editions often come with special backer only extras/rewards or they are otherwise somehow different from edition normally bought from store. Preordered games may also have different ID depending wether or not preorder extras are preorder exlusives or not (thus sometimes if you wishlisted game during preorder period, you have to wishlist it again after preorder period ends as the regular version has different id and preorder edition is no longer sold).

This tends to cause bit of a mess if game receives major upgrades like directors cut or enhanced editions where again the new edition receives new id and old ones are discontinued (like when GOG staff had entirely forgot that there was KS exlusive Basic Edition of Wasteland 2 when Directors cut came out). More recent Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition had similiar problems.
