Interesting.
Apparently, the future release of Dwarf Fortress on steam has created some market for this type of games.
Shame that GOG stupidly decided to reject a massive classic like Unreal World here.

Anyway, here is the Wishlist for these "niche" games :

https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/unreal_world

EDIT:
Some years ago I remember making a thread about the Elvira games and asking folks who remembered the games to vote for them on the wishlist. At the time some people told me that it'd be very hard to get the games here due to licensing rights.
Time passed and the Elvira games are finally here. So keep voting, people. One never knows...

Oh? OHO!
Definitely not great that GOG does not have these.

Not sure if I could ever get into those myself. Sword of the Stars : The Pit and Tales of Maj'Eyal are about as deep as I have been able to go into the rogue genre.

C:DDA has a lot of managerial stuff to it if that helps - crafting and building fortifications can be a major thing, along with some minor squad control (at least when I last played it).
Frankly, I'd stay clear of this one as this is not an official release. Word from the actual dev:

Just to clarify, they ran this by me via email, and while I’m not a fan of steam, the license the game is released under allows this, so I stand by that.
Also, one much more recent post by him in that thread:
Assuming Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead on Steam 12 is the steam page you made, we have some serious problems.

You are in flagrant violation of the license DDA is released under.
The page presents you as the primary developer of the game.
Much of the metadata on the page is grossly inaccurate, most glaringly you claim support for a large number of languages that have no or incomplete translations.
You are using it to cross-promote your other steam games.
It does not link back to any parts of the existing community.
That's a very big nope.

Eh, it depends on how that person who published the game on Steam replies and complies with the concerns. Its not like he tried to be sneaky and backdoor CDDA onto steam. Hes been public about his intentions for months now right there on the official CDDA forums.

It sounds to me like as long as he cleans up some of his wording and fineprint it'll be kosher.

Oh, that's the game where you can eat a dead human fetus and then mutate tentacles.
