Faster than lasers.

Into the Breach, a mechanized turn-based strategy from the makers of FTL, is coming soon, DRM-free, to GOG.com.

Our timeline is under attack! Hideous alien creatures burrowed under our civilization and the only way to drive them back is by employing giant mechs. From the future!
Fine-tune your formidable machines, plan your every move, and watch your fire - there are still some civilians left in there. If everything else fails, just turn to the future for reinforcements and another chance.

"from the makers of FTL" - don't need much more to sell me on the game than that. But it does look quite good on its own merits too. Onto the watchlist with ye!
I loved FTL, even if it was a evil game that consistently frustrated my attempts to do well at it. I'll likely pick this up sooner rather than later, as it looks delightful and the developer did right by me with FTL.
Ehm... looking through the screenshots - why would I want to "terraform the grassland back to desert"? Are the aliens herbivores or something?

Cautiouslyl optimistic, I kinda liked FTL, after removing the pressure from the rebel fleet. I may give this a try after the price is known.
Nice, added to the wishlist..

You don't even need a trailer, description or screenshots to sell it!
Holy crap! It's "Metal Marines"!
Insta-wishlist and insta bought whenever it comes out.

If it's even half as good as FTL I'd be happy.
Really? Windows only?
Graphic-wise I'm not impressed; the game looks too simple for my taste. Let's see how well the game will turn out.

It will come to Mac and Linux too, but after launch.

From the FAQ of the official website:
Into the Breach will be on Windows, Mac, and Linux. But it will not release on all three simultaneously. As a small studio, we found managing that large of a release for FTL very difficult, so we’re going to spread it out more this time.

Not with that kind of pedigree, you don't. :D
Where do I sign up? ;)
Nice, was hoping this would come to gog.
Look like it has an advance wars meets PC aesthetic.

I'm totally down with a graphically simple game that gives me lots of tools to play with. Terrain manipulation and customizable mechs will get the job done here :)
